That's what the Salsa is for. Why is there no thread on the saddledome salsa and amazingly unspicy jalapenos?

In my opinion, anything other than cheese only ruins them.
I always get both cups filled with cheese.

True, and the adjustable portion size. Nothing ruins a good dish of nachos like too much pouch cheese.

I get salsa in one cup, cheese in one cup, and jalapenos over everything. I need variety in my life.

One of the most disgusting things I saw in a restaurant was when we were out with a group at red Red Robin, or one of those 90's generic branded restaurants. Anyway, this guy at our table who was with the group through other friends ordered a double order of deep fried mozzarella sticks with a side order of........ nacho cheese to dip them in. So basically.... I will have the deep fried cheese, with cheese sauce please.
I then realised why the guys pores and hair were oozing of oil when he sat down. Could have possibly been from Edmonton, but I think it was safe to assume it was his deep fried cheese with cheese sauce diet.

To me, I remember Dome nachos being so great because of the Jalepenos. They aren't soggy like the kind you get in the store.

How much sharp chedder do you mix in????

It's all about bringing it to the consistency. Not sure on the ratio, I just eyeball it.
Basically, just thicken up the boring Tostitos stuff.

I had dome nachos for the first time tonight and I didn't find them amazing. It weren't bad, but they also weren't something I really enjoyed. The cheese was ok; I think this thread really hyped it up. Maybe it's just me

it's just you.
You're likely abnormal. You may want to talk to your doctor about it.

Just a heads up... I finally got around to making the tostitos mix that some posters have mentioned. I did exactly as they said sharp chedder with tostios cheese it was pretty good. I then decided to add a 3/4 cup of milk (to an entire jar). Im not kidding when i say this.... It was pretty much identical.
Highly recommend trying this if u havent already

I've gotten super hot jalapenos exactly once there. Other than that they've always been super mild.

Ok tried it. Grated some Cracker Barrel "old" cheddar into the Tostitos, added some milk, and brought it to a boil.
It's not identical, but about as close as possible without being the real thing. Highly recommend it - I bought some mild salsa and jalapenos so I can really simulate Dome nachos. DYNAMITE for movie nights.

I like gettin the nachos if im goin splitsees with someone atleast.
But definitely get both cups filled with cheese then TONS of jalapenos on the chips. that way you barely have any soggy areas and the cheese/1 jalap per chip is excellent with beer

Sure can! Just ask for both cups to be filled. About half the time you have to pay extra though ($1.50 I think?).

1. Develop a quick dialogue and be friendly ("Hey how's it going?" is generally all you need)
2. Order your nachos and pay (important this happen before toppings are negotiated)
3. Ask for cheese "all over the place". It's too late to charge for extra cheese at this point, and hopefully if you come off as jovial and friendly they won't have a problem with doing it.
I find this works about 80% of the time.
