I won't count out Belichek. I think he'll regroup and begin to rebuild. I wouldn't be surprised to see him go after a legit #1 rb after this season finally.

Was the ball lose before the facemask?
I'm wondering if this would have resulted in a change of possession then the personal foul?

Packer's didn't get screwed it was unfortunate, but the ball was loose before the facemask. An official's job at that point is to follow the ball. Most likely best case scenario is personal foul after the fumble which would have been a change in possession anyways.

Nobody got 'screwed'. It was a strip, fumble, and return. There wouldve been 15 yards off the kickoff - but thats moot.

At best, if a penalty would have been called, it would have been against Arizona after a fumble recovery.

Which would have made it very interesting if it came down to a 4th down.
Wat would it take for them to give Rackers another chance?

If he was within field goal range and it's 4th down you go for the field goal. Rackers is a good kicker. Can you imagine if they went for it on 4th and didnt get it? Whisenhunt would be fired.

Apparently I was wrong. The Pack would have gotten the ball back as it would have been a dead ball foul which gives the ball back to offense. Makes it a little more interesting, but no way the official could have caught it. Do we want to open replays to penalty/flag/no flag calls as well? That's not something I am sure I would approve of.

The facemask happened after the fumble and it didnt become a dead ball since it never hit the ground before the cardinals getting it so the Cardinals still get the ball.
It should have been ruled fumble with 15y penalty assesed against the Defence at the 20 or where ever the facemask happened. Either way you slice it the Packers dont get the ball back.
