Wasn't he in the news a month or two ago saying that the "bomber" should turn themselves in or something like that?

Hopefully the investigation was very thorough and there are stacks and stacks of evidence against him.

The dude who is blaming his inbreeding adverse family health effects on Encana.

Nothing ever stuck to him for the murder of that young girl about 20 years ago . . . . . so, if this is what sends him behind bars for 15 years or so, then so be it.
A lot of people up there are going to like this.

I like this part of the article:
Quote:
The letter called EnCana and other companies "terrorists" that are "endangering our families with crazy expansion of deadly gas wells."
The note was followed by three successive explosions, two of which caused leaks of sour gas, which contains toxic hydrogen sulphide.

Hopefully someone tipped off the cops so they could get the $1 Million reward that was offered by EnCana.

Correct.
I believe, when I seen good ol Weibo, I said to the GF. "It was probably him". I may have been right.

This seems odd. A wacko with a history of bombing oil/gas installations who lives in the area wasn't being monitored/followed once these bombings started happening??

I'd like to think that the RCMP were following him and were collecting evidence the whole time in order to build the case against him. But perhaps I'm putting too much faith in the RCMP.

You're probably right. I bet they were watching him shortly after the first explosion. I've seen The Wire ... you have to find a good amount of evidence otherwise all your work will be for nothing.

Almost 30 years ago in Ontario I went to school with his kids. Ben was my age, his sister Harmony was a year older than me, then there were some younger ones. Always felt sorry for the kids, because Weibo was a religious psycho, running his own church like a cult leader. Sadly, it wouldn't surprise me to see him do a mini-Jonestown.

Tell me more about his family being poisoned by sour gas. That sounds like an interesting tale. Links?

It's detailed (along with a bunch of other interesting things) in a biography by Andrew Nikiforuk (at least, I think that's the author, although I may have butchered his name).
A very interesting read if you can get ahold of it. And very interesting to think it would be him behind these bombings.
He's a very interesting dude.
