Without Welker there's no way the Patriots go into San Diego and beat the Chargers with how awful they've been on the road this year. Brady relies on his top two wideouts is because there so much better then anyone else in the Patriots offence. The Patriots struggled with the lost of Welker early on this year and will again this time around. Tom Brady can do some amazing things on the field but I don't think he's capable of this

This stat doesnt bode well for any of the Jets, Packers or Cowboys.

Quote:
let’s note that there have been 13 occasions in NFL history when two teams have faced each other in the final week of the regular season and then the following week in the playoffs, according to ESPN’s Stats & Information. (Both games were played at the same site on seven of the 13 instances.) Overall, the team that won the first game is 5-8 in the second game.

The most recent instance of a same-site rematch came in 2001, when the New York Jets defeated Oakland 24-22 in the regular season. The Raiders then defeated the Jets 38-24 in the next game.

That Saturday night game will draw a massive TV rating.
Cincinatti 30- Ny 13.

Dallas 27- Phili 23.

Baltimore 20 - NE 17.

Green Bay 37- Ari 17.

Sylvan,

I like your pics but I feel that Ed Reed is a good matchup for Randy and Ray ray will make him think twice about coming over the middle. After that who will step up for NE? This is why I think they lose.

I think Dallas is rolling and their De is too talented for the Eagles.

I agree with the cincy analysis. However, TJones has to have a huge game against an underrated bengals defense. Yet, I believe LJ has a huge game and the Bengals frustrate Sanchez to lose this game.

Too me, GBay is too talented to lose to a team that rode a favorable schedule to the wild card this year and a superbowl last year. This season Warner looks to be less effective, which won't factor well when playing GBay's Defence this sunday.

Go Pack!!!

Jets - Their defense is too good for one of the worst offenses in the league. I fully expect special teams and the D to win for the Jets. People forget this is the defense that held the Saints, Texans, and a lot of other great offenses to 1 td or less. 17-7

Dallas - hard to threepeat, but they obliterated the Eagles last weekend 31-21

Baltimore - No Welker is going to hurt the Pats 21-17

Pack - No Cromartie No Boldin No Chance 35-24

The Bengals run defense is actually ranked higher than the Jets, even after Sunday nights debacle. That night the Bengals had nothing to really play for, this week is different. If Cincy closes down that running game of the Jets and makes Sanchez throw the ball to win....jets are in a heap of trouble.

That being said, this is the Bengals we are talking about...the loveable losers so often called the Bungles instead.

DRC is playing and doesn't have an injury that should slow him down any.

Boldin is a game-time decision.

Saints DE Charles Grant placed on IR, torn triceps, Paul Spicer signed:

Grant isn't a stat machine, but he eats up blockers, and helped Will Smith to return to form with front-side QB pressure.

I think that the offenses even out. They are both terrible if the run gets stuffed. Bengals pass offense is obviously better than the Jets, but Jets pass defense is better than the Bengals. I think Jets will win this with points off of turnovers and on punt/kick returns. I don't expect the Jets to run all over them again. However, I think Shonn Greene is a star in the making and he might breakout this game. Jets will not resign TJ next season. Two headed monster next year will be Greene and Washington.

I will be watching the Jets-Bengals and Ravens-Patriots games closely as 3 of the 4 are possible 2nd round matchups for Indy. A Baltimore win and we play them no matter what in round 2. A NE win and we play the winner of Jets-Bengals.

Rex Ryan feels that the Jets should be the favorite to win it.

Quote:
During his daily news conference Wednesday, Ryan was asked what his reaction was to being the team with the longest odds - currently at 50-1 - to win the championship.

"I wasn't aware of that," he said, "but to me, we should be favourites, so that's fine."
Ryan was then asked to clarify if he meant the Jets should be favoured to beat the Bengals on Saturday in Cincinnati.

"I mean in the whole tournament," he said. "You know the way that I feel."

Well I don't have to worry about that because Tony Saparano has done a great job turning around the Dolphins.

Thought i would look at the teams records as far as when they played other playoff teams and how they fared and then how they fared against non-playoff teams.

Dallas won 3 games against playoff teams, lost 4 against non-playoff teams.
Philadelphia won 0 games against PO teams, lost 1 game to a non-PO team.
Minnesota won 4 games against PO teams, lost 3 games to non-PO teams.
Green Bay won 3 games against PO teams, lost 4 games to non-PO teams
New Orleans won 3 games against PO teams, lost 2 games to non-PO teams.
Arizona won 1 game against PO teams, lost 4 games against non-PO teams.

Indianapolis won 3 games against PO teams, lost 1 game against a non-PO team.
New England won 2 games against PO teams, lost 3 games against non-PO teams.
NY Jets won 3 games against PO teams, lost 5 games to non-PO teams.
Cincinatti won 4 games against PO teams, lost 3 games to non-PO teams.
Baltimore won 1 game against PO teams, lost 1 game to a non-PO team.
San Diego won 3 games against PO teams, lost 2 games against non-PO teams.

Not sure what one can derive from all this, but i was curious to see who fared best against other PO teams and who lost games to inferior competition.

7-9 is not a "great job".

That being said, last year when he won 11 it looked like a genius signing by Parcells and he also had the benefit of an extremely weak schedule, but regression is never a good thing however it is also a part of things often.

The jury is still out on him IMO.

I think you mean Bill Parcells has done a great job.
