Default Ipod problems.......

Hey guys. I'm having a little trouble here.....
My old computer completely melted down on me last week and I can't even turn it on to back up all my stuff. All my music is on my Ipod, but I have no music files in my new computer.

Question: Is there a way I can get my music from my Ipod into I-tunes on my new machine?

yes is it possible, i have done it. there are a few programs available via google. forgot which one i used.

very simple to do. just takes a while, especially if you have a large hard drive on your ipod.

i recommend a separate hard drive (eternal) for your music, just in case another computer fails...and good idea to back up your mp3's on dvd.

Programs? What did you google exactly?
Are these programs free? I only have a 8GB nano right now.......so it isnt too bad. I was gonna back it all up on USB flash, but maybe external hard drive is the way to go...

Couldn't you just take your old hard drive out of your non working computer, and install it in your working computer? Or is the Hard drive the problem?

Pffft....way over my head man.
The fan was making some nasty noise, which I was able to aleviate for a long time with a well placed slap to the side of the machine. One day I turned it on and.........absolutely nothing. It won't load windows or anything, with nothing on the screen either.
Meh.....I got 5 years out of it.

Download Senuti. iTunes backwards.

So easy. Free to try but may be worth shelling out a couple of bucks for it.

Why? I use my Ipod Classic all the time as well as my Iphone. I hook them up to my Macbook and Itunes seamlessly syncs all my content. It's worked well with my Ipod Nano, Ipod Shuffle and Ipod Mini. Surprising, because Isync never worked. The rest of the Ilife suite works just as well. I do prefer Imovie HD over the new one but I created some photobooks in Iphoto for Christmas and they turned out great. The wife is always busy updating our site with Iweb and creating slideshows in Idvd.

My dad just recently replaced MS Office with Iwork when he got his new Imac and he seems to be quite happy.

If you have any more problems, maybe we can discuss it further on Ichat.

Sharepod is what I have used in the past.

Although, as previously mentioned, it would probably be less work to pull the hard drive out of your old computer and put it in the new one. Google has many results about doing this, including ones with lots of pictures and videos. Expand your horizons, and get some extra hard drive space out of the deal
