I really like Globefish on 14th st. N, down the hill from SAIT. It's excellent.

Globefish, Towa, Misato. But My favorite of all is Umi Sake House in Seattle.

BTW go to any of those three, and you will probably never want to eat the sushi from the places off your list again... haha, its that good! You pay for what you get. All though Kinjo is decently good.

Momoyama is good! Also cheap. Basic, small family owned.

A.E Cross? The Junior High sorta by Mt Royal?
Maybe I'll have to visit it on one of my breaks.

Edo, seriously? i have only tried their teriyaki, not sushi, should give it a try.
GlobeFish is too expensive now, long time ago, they first opened Chopsticks in the NE, was the best.
Been to Seattle, Vancouver, Tokyo....nothing can beat Tokyo Toyota Town fish market...
in Calgary, give it a try: Sushi Club on Kensington Road...japanese chefs, chinese waitresses; also Wa's on Centre St 16 Ave just south of Beckham's. Wasabi on 16 Ave right by guitar works is ok too.

I like Sakana Grill during Happy hour. I could care less their fish quality is not like GlobeFish or whatever else. I'll eat it and enjoy it more for half the price. Sushi is just too expensive nowadays. Too easy to hit over 30 bucks for a mediocre meal.

I've never eaten there, but this was one of the top search results so I'm pretty hesitant to try them.

Misaoto's and Towa easily. I have found Globefish to be over rated. If I had to pick between the two, I would have to lean towards Towa. Don't let the prices fool you, 2 rolls can easily fill you up. They are huge!

I've become a fan of Zen 8. It used to be crap, but ever since they moved into a new location, the quality has been improving. I also know the owner there (he tries to speak Japanese to me, haha) and they carve up their fish that arrive in big crates from Japan in front of the customers, it's rather cool.
He said to me that if there's something you don't see on the menu, he will order it right away from the Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo. I've seen him do it, too. It might cost a bit more, but that's serivce! If I want otoro (fatty tuna belly... terrific stuff), I can order it from him!
I will also second Towa sushi, as well. Great place, great food, big portions. It's more of an American-fusion sushi place, but it's very creative and very tasty.
