Those who recall wrestling may remember Owen Hart breaking Austin's neck in an illtimed pile driver in the mid 90's. Austin was out for more then a few months.
Owen/the WWF played it up too after the first couple weeks, spoofing Austin's slogan for awhile..."Owen 3:16 says I just broke your neck".

Actually, that piledriver played a big part in Austin retiring early. His neck was never the same afterward. Austin held a big time grudge against Owen as a result and used his influence to squash any push Owen might have received.
