2010 NFL Off Season Thread
With Jim Zorn fired and Mike Shanahan meeting with Dan Snyder as we speak. I thought it would be fitting to start the off season thread so as not to muddy up the play off thread.

The New York football Giants have fired rookie DC Bill Sheridan.

My guess is the owners ane the football operations personal are quite upset with the rookie contracts and how Crabtree held out on them and they are looking to improve there team a different way. Can't say I blame them allthough I do think in my opinion building through the draft is the best way to build a winner in the NFL.

Interesting tidbit. Marshall just had an unannounced segment on the Alfred Williams and Dmac show here on the radio. Just showed up "I want to clear the air about some stuff". Basically it was him doing PR for himself, how he supports the team, his teammates and the decisions coach makes. He did basically write his own ticket out of town though, announcing private discussion him and coach had during the week regarding his injury.
He said that earlier in the week he was told to not go to meetings and focus on rehab, and that the rehab guys told him that meant he was to play Sunday. Allegedly coach benched him because he didn't come to him and ask "Why am I out of the meetings?" and coach took that to mean Marshall didn't care. Kind of a one sided thing, but he was on for a good 45 minutes. Oh, he also cleaned out his locker totally, name plate and all when he left today.
There was some more to it but I don't want to transcribe a 45 minute conversation.

Yeah, I'll waste a few of my hard earned dollars from the past when the worlds economy didn't suck donkey reproductive organs to go to Seattle and watch my pathetic Chiefs play the Seahawks. First time in 8 years that the Chiefs are in Seattle, so the chances to see my team are few and far between if I want to do it and spend less the $500. At least ticket interest in both teams is minimal so it'll be easy to get them.

Man I miss Alfred Williams. What a motor.
Writing was on the wall yesterday for both Marshall and Scheffler IMO. Great players.....
Some words of Eddie Vedder's come to mind but I might be accused of being over reactionary!

I'm sure it will be on their website as a podcast soon enough for anyone who wants to hear it. 104.3 The Fan is the station, Al and D-mac show.

2010 Opponents per NFL.com:
2010_Opponents
If anyone can show me how to re-title links, I'd appreciate it. I tried to do what was laid out in the "Everything you always wanted to know about CP" thread, but I must have been doing something wrong...
I'm thinking I may have to get down to Phoenix for the Saints game. Hopefully the Flames are in town to complete a killer weekend!

Oh cool I get to go see my Seahawks lose to everyone except St. Louis at home next year. Though I've never seen the Giants play that will be a fun game.

According to Adam Schefters twitter some huge news!
Bill Cowher spotted out walking his dog in North Carolina according to NFL radio. Not in Buffalo, not in Cleveland, not in Chicago. Pretty good chance he's not coaching and sticking with the TV job.
