Default 10 Sci-Fi Weapons That Actually Exist

It is amazing what they have out there.

The Active Denial System fires a beam of millimeter-wave radiation. It make people feel like their skin is burning without causing any permanent damage. More at the link above.

More then half of the weapons shown were of the non lethal variety.

However war is never going to go away, so its important to be more efficient in terms of killing them before they can kill you.

You forgot to add the weapon that can turn a hockey team from stanley cup finalist to worst place in the west.

Didn't they use the one in the OP at the Pittsburgh G-8 summit? Pretty sure they used something like that on the protestors...
Nevermind, the one used at the G-8 summit was a radio frequency thingy...

I can't really see the ADS being used in a war. If it's not going to kill, why have it around in a warzone at all?

It's probably to quash unruly protesters, like those at the annual G8 summit.

Killing men isn't the most effective way of winning a war.

That would be incredible if they can adapt those lasers to detonate IEDs. That would save so many lives.

They should invent those hovering probes that shoot lasers at bad guys, like in star wars. The Taleban would not stand a chance against those bad boys.

Considering how much firepower they pack, safeguards are really important. The Maars system (above) can be equipped with four grenade launchers and a machine gun that packs 400 rounds of 7.62 caliber ammunition.

Oh man.........I'm not into remote control toys but.........that thing would be sooooooo fun!

I'm suddenly hearing Clint Eastwood growl "Get off my lawn!" while holding the remote for one of those....
