a couple of saban assistants are involved aka assistant coaches in UT now.
Personally I think it's funny though. The way UF destroyed UC think of the fact they were a play away ( a play that wasn't reviewable) from having Alabama wax them for the national title.
I want bama to win but really I just want a good game.

Oh, The NFL showed us why college football bowl format is much better.
With teams like Cincy, Saints, Colts just packing it in makes the season or the last 3 weeks basically worthless.
these last three weeks in NFL are worse than the Preseason but people will bitch and moan about a playoff.

Yeah and those games consist of teams like the Colts, Bengals, Cards, Pats, etc. resting starters. The Jets get 2 free victories against teams they would have otherwise lost to. That's the reason they're in the playoffs not because they earned it. What a foolproof system.
Do we really need to see 11-0 Ohio St. resting players when they visit 8-3 Michigan in the final game of the season?

Bengals rested Benson and a couple DTs. Palmer didn't get pulled until game was out of hand. Jets will house them again next week.

I see...so the rest of the season had nothing to do with it huh?
Good one.

I love this line of thinking as well. Forget that they have the #1 rushing offense and #1 defense in the league. The team they beat for the tiebreaker (Texans) they whooped the crap out of. What else do they need?

So....any ways about the NCAA here. Over rated Boise State who don't belong among the top 25 teams....they score the first touch down. Than again they're playing another over rated team from a weak conference who's teams have fared pretty well in bowl games so far. Should be a good game, but I wish they'd have at least put these two against teams from so called good conferences.

Yup....again a great example of how superior the college system is..two undefeated teams playing in a game that simply doesnt matter when all is said and done...well except they can call themselves Fiesta bowl champions, but a national championship is a pipe dream. They dont even get an opportunity to prove themselves.
Awesome.

then there should be no fear including them in a playoff...i mean thye just come from some distant weak conference, surely the high and mighty SEC or Big 12 teams would decimate them as little more than a speed bump on their road of superiority.
Oh wait....

End of 3 quarters and it's a 10-10 dead lock. No doubt this has made for a good bowl game by putting these two against each other. But we'll never truly know how good the winner of this game really was. Oh well go Broncos, 15 minutes to try and pull this one out.

Boise State pulls off a tricky fake punt to gain 29 yards on a 4th and 9. Gotta love a team who has no fear and will try this stuff. Idiots if it doesn't work but brilliantly bold if it does. Works out here as they gain some momentum and get in the end zone for the go head TD. I expect the gates open now and we see a few down the field drives as the desparation takes hold for both teams.

Well with 1:16 left TCU needs to drive 99 yards to tie it up, or win it with 2. They have one time out. See if they can hang on to a few of these balls here, they've had some drops so far. TCU at the 21 no timeouts left, and 54 seconds.

Bronco's INT with 18 seconds left around their own 15 after it ricchochets off their own guys helmet! Good game, and a nice win for Boise State.

Then don't watch. It's as simple as that.
I always find the "it doesn't mean anything" argument hilarious. Watch the teams after these close bowl games and tell me that.

The rest of the season they were on par with a cluster of about 5 teams (Miami, Pitt, J-Ville, Houston, etc.). They pulled ahead because they were fortunate enough to draw Indy in week 16 instead of week 6. Switch when they play Indy and the Jets are on the outside looking in.

In the overall...what does it mean? Of course the players are enjoying the win...its all they get. Do you think they WOULDNT enjoy a shot at a NC game that much more? Ridiculous argument.

Should've went with my heart on this one, but I bought into the TCU hype machine.

Nothin like cherry picking one game here and there to attempt to make an argument.
The "what if" game?? Really. Weak.
