Go Bengals as a dolphins fan I despise the Jets.

Allthough we beat them twice this year it still sucks knowing they have a shot at the playoffs with such horrible qb play this year. Yes I know he's a rookie but he was awful most of the time.

Oh god please don't start with the will McDaniels get fired madness. He isn't going anywhere. I don't give a damn that they went 2-8 after a 6-0 start, no one expected them to win more than 4 freaking games anyway. If anything the late demise shows this team overachieved like crazy.

Give it a few years. There will be changes on the O-line, hopefully get a good youngster in at QB to groom for a year, and things will get better. Yes, missing the playoffs hurts but not when you think about the start of the year.

Typical finale for the Seahawks. Recievers and backs make plays to get the Seahawks within range of the endzone with under a minute to go. Hasslebeck then throws a pass he thinks is foolproof and there is no Seahawk with 10 yards, only 2 Titans. Interception.

Then cue the usual; Flip off the chin strap. Look confused. Watch the replay screen. Look more confused. Walk off the field. Put ball cap on backwards and shrug shoulders.

Seahawk fans have been forced to watch this above sequence far too many times in the past 2+ years...with no proper backup, Hasslebeck can continue to do this without consequence. Nevermind he is supposed to be the leader of the offense.

Time for him to start thinking about passing the torch, is an understatement.

With the Seahawks loss and Broncos loss, Seahawks should get a top 10 (6 I think) pick and probably around #16 too from Denver and their disastorus finish...so that's something to look forward too.

At least Alphonso Smith made a huge impact for the Broncos this year, otherwise losing that pick would really sting right about now!

What a complete roll-over by the Bengals...totally gacked this this game andyou could tell right from that first series that none of them looked at all interested in playing in the cold temperatures and simply have mailed it in. Too bad for the Texans but they put themselves in this position with all those putrid no-shows earlier in the season.

Wild card picks.....

NFC-Philadelphia @ Dallas - As much as I hate it, I have to give the Cowboys the nod here. They won easily today to earn the right to play this game in Jerryville, and I can't see them laying an egg on it. That said, the Eagles are dangerous and if they can figure some things out the next few days they are capable of getting the job done.

Green Bay @ Arizona - I'm going with the Pack here. Yes, the Cards are a completely different team with Warner at QB but they lack the things that are needed to shut down a high powered offense....a running game and a pass rush. It will be a competitive high scoring game.

AFC-

Jets @ Cincinatti . I'll take the Bengals. Tonight is obviously not indicative of that team and I think at home they take the Jets out.

Baltimore @ New England...Patriots. Brady is not losing at home and I don't care how many broken ribs he has. He's been playing with them for weeks. It's not going to effect him more now. The Ravens offense has sputtered of late as well and I don't think they have the firepower to outscore the Patriots, even without Welker.

So, what's the status of Charles Woodson, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Anquan Boldin?

If Woodson is out, that's a HUGE blow for the Packers. Same with DRC for the Cardinals...

I hate the jets they are a great team defensively but man did the schedule really fall into there favour this year they got to play two games where the two teams didn't give a crap. The colts threw in the towel after leading in the second half. The Bengals looked like they sent 53 of there fans to play the game. They just did not care and were probbaly pissed off that the NFL made them fly to NY to play the Jets.

It will be interesting to see how Sanchez does next week when the Bengals D actually cares.

I will have fun watching the Jets get destroyed next week or I will have to come here and eat crow.

I am ready for the NFL draft thread, anybody else with me?

At least the Dolphins swept the Jets this year, but it almost feels meaningless now that they've made it.

I did tell you and other Bronco fans that I thought the team at 6-0 didn't deserve respect until they win some playoff games. Even at 6-0 I thought you'd get in the playoffs and probably lose, never in my wildest dreams did I expect such a monumental collapse. I thought last years 8-4 start with the Chargers being 4-8 collapse was the worst if would get but this seams worse.

All in all both of our teams have a lot of holes, and I know many dolphin fans are calling for Marshall to come to Miami but I doubt it for two reasons parcells doesn't take receivers that have contreversy with them and without the cap being in place I believe (let me know if I am wrong) the free agency gets screwed with more RFA's being in place with means more draft pick losses etc.

As a Lions fan I have been looking at the top end of this draft since the last draft ended.

I am happy as we should get either Berry or Suh.

Seattle can afford to take a safe pick (OL help, who knows about Jones, the rest were struggling out there, and have ever since Hutchinson left), and then take a chance on a QB IMO, with two top 20 first round picks.

Decent talent, on paper and on the field more or less, minus some injuries, but no strong team leader to bring them all together by words or by example.

Or, trade the # 6 pick down a few spots and fall out of top 10 (and the top 10 $ paid).

if Mcdaniels feels that Marshall and Schefter are not buying in, why not just put them on IR and deal with the matter privately? not a fan of him calling out guys, to me it doesnt really accomplish much. If you are a free agent, is this the place you want to go? to me he is far to confrontational

Scheffler was benched for "attitude issues", that's McDaniels quote. If he doesn't want ot buy in and is unhappy with his role? Eff him. I'm ok with that, he was used for nothing this year. As far as Marshall goes, McDaniels put him on blast this week. Called him out "Yeah, there are guys out here practicing with injuries worse than his". Gaffney showed that Marshall is expendable. Depending on the cap / non cap year, I have no problem watching Marshall walk and Scheffler getting tendered for a 3rd round pick.

It should be said that I am a McDaniels fan for sure, and think he will take this team where it needs to go after Shanahan had 4 extra years to ruin it. the Broncos will be back, don't worry about that.

I'm back from Vegas after a 10 day trip.......

I'm glad there were no injuries in Buffalo today. That's all I wanted. I was disappointed last week we didn't go for 16-0 but this week I wanted everyone to rest and no injuries (did not want a situation like NE and Welker who has been reported to tear his ACL and MCL and is out for the playoffs).

Ravens @ Patriots
Jets @ Bengals

Those should be two good AFC Wildcard games next week.

PS......Manning has the MVP locked up IMO.

NFC wise...........a couple rematches from this week:

Eagles @ Cowboys
Packers @ Cardinals

I am interested to see how Philadelphia and Arizona play next week after this week.

I am so pumped for Wildcard weekend as it kicks off the playoffs!

Black Monday for NFL coaches is well underway as Jim Zorn has been turfed in Washington.

Who else falls the next few days?

Eric Mangini? Lovie Smith? Tom Coughlin? Raheem Morris? Jim Mora? Mike Singletary?
Josh McDaniels? Tom Cable? Gary Kubiak?

Always a bad time for those guys that miss the playoffs.
