I wonder how many Eggs Benedicts KevanGuy could eat in one sitting.

Oh no coffee in this house, only tea my friend, and every Eggs Beni comes with a smokable bowl. :P

Bump - thanks for all the recommendations - some have been very good (Benny at the Farmer's Markets) others REALLY disappointing (Avenue Diner).
So far the best of the best is a new place called the Overeasy Diner on Edmonton Trail. Perfect Benny and great service/coffee to boot.

I've been meaning to try Overeasy. This is not the first recommendation that I have heard.
I like many of the ones that have been mentioned, so I won't repeat those. One that I did not see mentioned was Cadence in Inglewood.
JiriHrdina: What was wrong with the Avenue Diner bennies? It has be a while since I have eaten there and quite a few years since I have had their bennies, but that would have been one of the ones that would come to mind first.

I'm so glad no one has said Nellies... what a joke that place is.
Phil's is the best for bennys IMO.

Care to elaborate about Nellie's? We tend to hit one of them about once every 6 weeks or so (usually Cosmic Cafe on 17th) and while the odd time we've had poor service, most of the time it's absolutely fine and we enjoy our meals.

I'm referring to Nellies with regards to their Eggs Benedict... been awful the couple times I ordered them

Have you tried to make your own Jiri? It's long been a Christmas tradition to have eggs benedict for breakfast. If you want, I can get you the recipe.

Not sure if this was mentioned, but Diner Deluxe on Edmonton Trail makes a pretty decent Benny.

+1 for Overeasy Breakfast Diner on Edm. Trail. I live a few blocks away and used to go to Diner Deluxe all the time (who also have a pretty good Eggs Benny) - now I pretty much go to Overeasy exclusively for my Sunday brunching needs.

They give you fruit. Like at the grocery store. Except it's washed, cut and put on a plate for you. Apparently this makes them awesome, or something. I thought it was okay when I went there, but some people just go gaga over it.

Well the whole experience was terrible - the service was terrible....I get that you have to wait but once we sat down it took forever to even get coffee. The Benny themselves had good eggs, but the sauce was bland and worse-yet - cold.
