Default iPhone Questions

Hey guys,

So I'm looking at re-formatting my computer, but I'm trying to backup everything worth keeping on my computer.

Is there a way to make a backup of my iPhone settings and things of that nature??

I've already backed up the entire iTunes folder, music and all, should that be enough?

Every time I sync my iPhone, iTunes automatically backs it up. I'm not entirely sure where to, or the file format, but I imagine it would be in the iTunes folder...

When you sync your iPhone, iTunes creates a backup of it. If you're using a PC, then I have no idea where that backup file is stored. If you can find it, make sure you copy it with the rest of your data.

On Vista I believe the backup is under AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync. I'm not sure if you need anything else for it to be able to actually recover that backup or not.

I'm trying to update my software and the backup has taken 5 hours to get halfway. Anybody got any idea of what's wrong?
