Try out CLA. The hype around it has really died down recently but it's apparently the real deal. Again, it's one of those things that's pretty well impossible to get enough of through diet.

don't know, 150 pills for 35 bucks or something? 647mg of EPA, and 253mg of DHA.

I use to use that as well. I had a friend who managed a GNC so I would go in and try almost everything with his beautiful discount. I swear I have tried everything (minus womens stuff) in that store.
There was a point where I was taking about 10 different supplements a day, probably 30+ pills daily but that got tiring so I have really toned it down.
Now I only take Fish Oil, Multi-Vit, Cinnamon Pill (I'm hypoglycemic and it helps with the blood sugar levels.), Fibre, and TriFlex (Glucosamine, Chondroitin, and MSM). I also everyday I drink Greens+ and protein shake w/ Glutamine. Sometimes 2 shakes a day if I have a good workout. Once I start eating better and concentrate a bit more I will add a Creatine to my daily supplements.
My biggest problem is my eating habits, probably the stoner munchies, so my weight isn't that great even with a cardio/workout program. So in the new year I am going to get rid of a sugar from my diet and limit my carb intake to Brown rice and potatoes.

Sounds like a good pill. The biggest thing you look at is the EPA and DHA levels in the pill. Many of them will have 1000mg fish oil pills but only have 200/100 split on the other stuff which is what matters.

Ok thanks. And it says one per day. Should I do more? I think Azure would suggest I do more.

Can't bother to read through this enormous thread but do you do interval cardio? Also, do you do weights before cardio?

I always take two. With most of my pills I split them up and take them as soon as I wake up, and then just before bed. When you are sleeping is when your body is doing all it's repairing and such so I like to fuel up before hitting the hay.
I know some people wouldn't recommend this because some think eating before bed is somehow bad for you but I have a protein shake w/ glutamine before bed for muscle recovery as well.
Fuel your body when it needs it!

While we're talking about protein, is there anywhere that sells casein protein powder?

I use to do interval. I'll be honest though I got away from cardio quiet a bit I hate it! I just started getting back into it.
I was actually talking with Mayer and he recommended P90x as a way to get in cario and lifting into one package and so far I really like it. Keeps me busy and I find I don't get bored like I do with running, even interval.
If I watched my calorie intake a little more throughout the day I would lose weight no problem. I know where my weaknesses are in my diet and I just have to get rid of them like I have in the past.

I know GNC sells it. It's great I was using it before but it is a bit more money and I wasn't a huge fan of the Chocolate flavor it came in. There has only been one protein powered I actually enjoy and it is ISO XP Chocolate. I almost like it too much!

Not interested in Crossfit HOOT?
And Shazam, you should read this entire thread. It's one of the best in CP history.

I have in the past. A good friend actually owns the one here in Victoria.
My problem comes down to having a bad shoulder/knee from a car accident many years ago. I have this problem with not knowing my limits especially when being watched by a group. I would never want to give up when I know I should.
I need to get strength back into those areas before I go back into something like that again. I got pretty sick in the summer for almost a month so I kinda gave up on working out when that happened and been working out here and there since instead of every day like in the past. Maybe in the future I will go back because one thing is for sure Crossfit kicks your @$$!

Oh, I've read most of it, just can't remember what HOOT wrote before, and it's really hard to keep up with this thread as it tends to go in spurts and then gets forgotten.

With the New Year coming around it should be on the first page until the end of January or should I say when the gym's aren't busy anymore.
The problem with this type of stuff is everyone has a different opinion on diet, exercise, supplements, etc. and people just need to find what works for them not the person next to them.
However pick a goal and way you want to accomplish it and stick to it for at least 4 weeks to see if you are getting results or not. If you are changing your game plan every week you will get very little results or have a clue what is working and what is not.

I forgot about that stuff. Great for your heart!
You could take supplements until your eyes pop out.
