Thats a good one You have proven your oppinion is meaningless, and you know absolultley nothing about music in any way shape or form.

Whats Fake You think NAS is roling around selling drugs and killing people aside from maybe a few rappers(ice cube, Eazy E, DJ Quik) none of them are gangsters....

Talentless my god bud you have a lot to learn. I guarntee you have never even heard the NAME pigeon john let alone have heard his music, same goes with little brother and about 200 other artists and groups that make up REAL hiphop. I would say very confindently that the lyrics, rhymes, beats in almost every cd I own(about 250)(all underground and independent hiphop) are better than the best song, of any of the cds listed on homers list........dont know whta you consider talent, yelling about fataing ladies and drinkin 40's is not talent.

Maybe in a few years when you get out of the "gangsta" phase of your life you'll understand..i dont expect you to now "G"

I know nothing because I disagree with you? I actually have a collection of over 700 CDs, Worked in a record store for over 4 years (where I ran the HipHop section), play the drums and have a ton of friends in music.

Have you even listened to any of these people? I don't want to have to quote them all but they all have written about much more then blunts, hoes and money.
These people write about the situations they have come from, and I don't have to live it or glorify it to empathise with it.

As I already stated, I only ran a hip hop section for over 4 years. I've seen and heard more hiphip CDs ( or any type of CDs) then you will in your entire life. You don't get put in charge of maintaining and ordering for the hiphop section in a major music retailor without knowing anything.

Thanks for the generalization. If you only knew how far I am from being in any sort of gangsta phase. You make this assumption because I like 2pac? What a joke. Some of my favorite artists also include Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Modest Mouse, REM, Bright Eyes, Thursday, Massive Attack etc...

I don't have to act like a gangsta, to like gangsta rap. To like it for what it is which is someone elses story told in a way which I can empathise. I don't support the idea of anyone adapting that lifestyle as their own.
By your logic, anyone who likes the Godfather is also a wannabe gangsta.

all very highly recomended for those who don't know who Seether are if you remember Amy Lee from Evanescence doing Broken it was Seether who wrote and then re\recorded it with her doing vocals, very good band from South Africa

Ill Nino - New York heavy metal band mixes in lots of Latin beats very good

Staind - well if you don't know much about Staind just check'em out band was originally signed by Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit his first encounter with them was to try and get them tossed off of an opening spot on his tour because he thought they were devil worshippers lol

Speaking as a guy who used to be a psuedo rock journo, this is bang on. People's taste in music is so personal, so unchangeable that it's impossible to criticize an individual's taste without coming off as a complete and utter a-hole.

You can, however (and should), take a band to task for producing lame music.
