I didn't think he had control until he hit the ground, and I thought it was pretty clear.
What bothers me about overturning the call is that there has to be irrefutable evidence. I did not see that at all.

I just watched it again in slow-mo on Total Access and it looked good to be. The TA guys seemed to think it was a good catch. I really havn't seen any of the Broncos players dispute the call, but like I said, I thought there wasn't enough evidence to overturn the backwards pass in the first half and apparently I was wrong.

It was a pretty poorly officiated game.
The missed PI call on Dawkins, then the on on the play Stokely got tossed on. The phantom hands to the face call on Woodyard that gave the Eagles the Avant TD. Poor spot on Reggie Browns catch and on Ortons sneak.
I have said in the past that Carey is my favorite official but his crew had a rough day.

Yep, I thought they were pretty bad. They really slowed down the game.
Anyways, I'm wondering if another team will give Jason Campbell a chance next year. I still think he can be a decent QB behind a decent offensive line.

Why will it not be Washington? Cerrato is gone. There should be no angst left from last summer.

Until he is willing/able to make the tough throws I think he will remain a decent QB but not a guy that you win with. He seems to go way to much with the safe 2 yard dump off when you need tens yards for the first down.
At some point the BS excuses have to end and people have to realize the guy is at best a mediocre talent. Now right now many teams could use a mediocre QB as a big upgrade on what they have but for any team looking to be successful Campbell should not be an option.

I think he can be a pretty good quaterback if he had some confidence a better o-line and a better football IQ. He just makes dumb decisions whether its not picking up the blitzing defencive back or just missing a wide open man maybe some Mike Shannahan coaching could help him. He's a pretty good runner and has a good arm. You can't blame the receiving core I think our's is good. But overall just needs to be coached up more and get some of his confidence back

What a terrible day for my teams all around, losing to Tampa at home is unacceptable.
New Orleans was the lesser team in all 3 phases today, Brees had a very good game statistically, but couldn't seem to get down field. Tampa dominated on special teams, and the only reason they didn't win in regulation was self inflicted offensive penalties on the Saints side of the 50.
Freeman is going to be a dandy, IMO.

I think NBC should have used the Cowboys and Eagles as the Flex game since the winner will win the NFC East. But they want a win and you're in, and the Jets are in if they win the game, plus it's the New York T.V. Market. Problem is I can't see the Texans beating the Patriots which will leave the Bengals as a team unable to go anywhere and hence having little to play for. I think it's going to be far from a classic game, whereas the Boys and Eagles could be a good one.
Next week could end up being a playoff preview on both accounts as an Eagles win and Cowboys loss makes the Eagles #3 and the Cowboys #6, and than Arizona and Green Bay are doing the deja vu thing too. I think there is a possibility that the Saints lose that #1 seed as I don't know if I'd want to be playing Carolina in Carolina the way they're going right now. Knowing that the Vikings should be inspired to try and win their last two games here.
All sorts of fun to happen here.
As for my Chiefs I think they're pretty much guaranteed the #3 pick in the draft. Hopefully Pioli doesn't screw it up this time like he did this past year. I actually hope they trade down to a team looking to move up for a QB, if the Chiefs aren't picking a QB in that spot and Suh will end up in St.Louis, they might as well try and move down as they're needs are too numerous to make a selection at that spot in the draft.

Fascinating results yesterday IMO.
Saints fans have to be concerned as that team is sliding quickly in the wrong direction. The defense is just awful right now, and the offense just isnt the scoring machine it was the first 10 weeks or so. travelling to Charlotte next week doesnt help either as the Panthers suddenly have found their groove with Matt Moore at QB...though losing Steve Smith hurts a ton.
Philly made that game way closer than it needed to be yesterday but still won and i think they are the most dangerous club in football right now behind the Chargers.
Minnesota if they win out tonight against the Bears and next week against the Giants can still win 1 seed throughout if NO does falter next week. That being said, they look like they are sliding as well, but have a great chance to right things tonight on MNF.
Dallas is playing well too but I still get this feeling that something isnt quite right with that club. Washington was horrible yesterday and the Cowboys only put 17 on them. 24 in 2 games against the Skins.
The Cards are hard to figure out...and it looks like the Pack will face them twice in two weeks...which will be fascinating IMO. Packers playing very good football right now, and had they not choked that one up against the Steelers last week would have a solid hold on the 5 seed...instead they are still fighting for it.
Looks like the Ravens and Jets are going to fill the AFC side in (sorry Dis) but none of that matters IMO as the Chargers and Colts are on a collision course for the SB berth. I will be stunned if either team doesnt make it to the championship game in the AFC.
Oh and Peyton manning just proved he will be the league MVP by not playing yesterday...cause as soon as he exited that game, the team got blown out. Dude is just unbelievable.

Just read this little factoid...
Aaron rodgers is the only QB in NFL history to throw for over 4,000 yds in each of his first two seasons as a starter.
For some reason it just doesnt sound plausible.

Yes that does sound weird.
But the league now is a pass-first league more than ever and it wouldn't surprise me to see more pass records being broken.
I heard a stat the other day that the league average is 57% passing plays over running plays.

You're assuming the Jets are going to beat Cincinatti Sunday?
Chargers/Patriots in the AFC Championship @ San Diego. Book it.
