Default Joni Ortio interview

http://thehockeywriters.com/joni-ortio-interview/

This interview was done by Christopher Ralph, hes the THW's Flames Correspondent.

Its a very good read, Ortio seems like a very nice guy.
I hope to see him in Flames colors in the future.

From Article:

Quote:
CR: Can you recall and relate the most humorous hockey event either involving yourself or that you have witnessed?

JO: The funniest thing so far in hockey happened to me about 3 years ago. I was trying to pass the puck to a teammate in the far blue line. When I shot the puck it hit our defenseman and went into our own net. It wasn’t funny at the time but now it’s quite hilarious.

Looks like we have our own version of M-A Fleury.

Ortio seems to have his head on his shoulders, he knows he what he needs to work on. He has the right mind set to achieve his goals and he wants to win.

Thanks guys!!!

I was actually the interviewer in this one.

Appreciate the posting!

I was excited to have scored the interview and then super impressed with "Ortsa" and the final product this piece turned into.

I'd be surprised if "Ortsa" is anything but the starter for the Finns.

Seems like this has become the official Ortio topic...

He looked quite good tonight. That last goal he dropped a little quick on (and subsequently got deked around), but I thought he looked good for most of it. It'd be awesome if he turned into a Kipper Lite.

I was at the game last night and I wasn't knowing what to expect from Ortio. What really impressed me was his rebound control and directing shots into the corner.

Not that mentioning Korpi is ever a bad thing, but I'm curious why this thread?

But hey, as a bit of trivia, her father Rauno Korpi is/was a pretty accomplished hockey coach.

Read one of the last questions in the interview.
