Probably not since they already have two high profile Europeans that came to the club in large part for the opportunity to play for a good club and in the Memorial Cup.
They could ditch one but it wouldn't look good in the future in terms of getting other Euro's to come over and considering the price it would take to get him I am not sure that Sbisa would be a big enough upgrade.

Resolute 14 - How did you get those tickets? I checked online, but can't find anything. Thanks

Hitmen season ticket holder presale. I get first right to buy my seats... though I am obligated to also keep my Hitmen tickets for 2010-11, and though it isn't stated, probably 2011-12 as well.
Regular price, when they do go on sale to the public, will be $1199.00 (+fees) for the lower bowl and first four rows of the 200 level, and $899.99 (+fees) for row five and up of the 2nd level. Dunno when they go on sale though.

Ugh. Tough loss last night. Blew a 3-0 lead - with the Tigers' comeback sparked by a simply asinine call by Cowley who then got into a very animated argument with Williamson over it. Hitmen fell apart defensively after that though. Medicine Hat, especially #15, just skated through the D as if it wasn't there. At least we got a point scoring the tying goal with about a half second left on the clock when the puck went in.

Season ticket holders have until January 11, 2010 to "claim" their seats for the world juniors. They will go on sale to the general public some time after that. My invoice is for around $1500 for two seats in row 5 of the 2nd level.

Teddy Toss game tonight starting @ 5 down at the Dome. They opened the 3rd level earlier in the week, should be a big crowd. Tough game for the Hitmen though, 3rd game in less than 3 full days.

Ian Schultz got the goal on a play that was reviewed for a very long time. Good thing it counted, cause there was no turning the clock back on that one.

Just under 17000 bears thrown yesterday. Alittle disappointing but lots of people will benefit from the event.

Both Jones and Kozun have made Team Canada. On the one hand, it would be nice to have them both for the upcoming Hitmen games. On the other hand, this helps deny Oiler prospects Cornet and Roy a spot on the team.

The Hitmen opened the 2nd half of the season with a 3-1 set back in Cranbrook last night. The boys had lots of shots but Todd Mathews played well for the Ice. Michael Snider gave up one real bad goal and the Hitmen power play has gone MIA. I believe they were 0 for 8 last night.

Calgary finally potted a PP goal last night in a 4-3 win over Regina. I believe that makes them 1 for 29.
I like Wilson playing on the front-end much better than I like him playing D. Also, Sylvester was really noticeable for me last night. He created some opportunities for himself and was really a spark out there.
I've been watching Nyren the last couple of games, and I really like what he brings to our defence corps. Nice having another veteran presence back there with Stone.
Burgart must be in the dog house with the coaching staff, as I only noticed him out there three times last night and wound up being a -1 at that.
I am still waiting for the Hitmen to find that consistency they have been lacking all season, yet they are still managing to win games. 10 out of their next 13 are at home, so we'll get the best chance all season to really see what this team is capable of.

Nyren is definitely more reliable than Bonsor.
I absolutely love that the officials finally saw Schultz take a high stick, then ignore two others. Go figure. Nyren was beaking off the back referee for the entire final five minutes of that game, showing the bloody gauze and chirping over how the official (Papp) simply ignored a high stick he saw plain as day.

Based on what I read over at the junkies site, they were worried he had a broken jaw but he should be good to go on Sunday.
9 days until the trade deadline. Sbisa's injury really hurts the Canes chances of moving him. Too bad because I really believe Kisio would have made a pitch for him. Not many teams completely out of it so deals maybe hard to come by. The Oil Kings are unloading but there isn't too much there that I think the Hitmen would want maybe Vincour?

Good to hear...have you ever seen anyone get hit that much with a stick? It's every single game for him!

Might be worth while making a play for Sbisa anyway in the hopes his injury isn't serious.

No Schultz tonight. Heard from someone that he had his jaw wired shut.
Hurricanes jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the 1st, but the Hitmen managed to tie it up in the 2nd. About halfway through the 2nd the Hitmen found a step and really picked it up. On to the 3rd!

Pitiful result for the Hitmen last night. They let a very bad hockey club beat them by playing like complete idiots at times. Especially Foucault, who was Lethbridge's best penalty killer.
