PepsiCo is dropping their Tiger Woods Gatorade drink called Gatorade Tiger Focus. According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, the Tiger Woods Gatorade drink is being discontinued, but that the decision is not related to Tiger Woods’ alleged affairs
Oh come on... enough with the political correctness BS. Just come out and say it! If there was no scandal, this drink would be everywhere!

I say good on this man for revealing himself as a normal human being. Big whoop anyways, I cared about his golfing, not his personal life. He could have sex with a hoarde of zombie orangutans and it wouldn't matter. Point is, the man is a good golfer.
This shouldn't be a 'stain' on his record or anything.
In case you didn't notice, he only "revealed" himself as a normal "cheating husband (that's normal to you?)" after he was forced to by a bajillion of his sexual liaisons coming out of the woodwork and his wife signing a normal 2-year contract to remain with him for an extra $60M.

...
...Er, let me rephrase that.
How is what he's doing make him a normal human being. While what he was doing is not a surprise to me, the extent of the cheating on his wife is gross and wrong.
It might be normal for a pro athlete, but that doesn't make it right.
Watch the next scandal to errupt will be that Tiger went bare back on these excapades and gave his wife a scorching case of herpes.
Or knocked up one of these bimbo's.
You know its coming, sniff sniff, you can smell it in the air.

Who were the people saying it wouldn't affect his endorsements? I'm sure these will be only one of a number... Sure, he isn't going to go broke, but it's having repercussions.
According to media tracker Nielsen, the last time a commercial featuring Tiger Woods appeared on television was Nov. 29.
Since then, no Woods commercials have aired, not even over this past weekend during the Chevron World Challenge, the golf tournament hosted by Woods since 2001.

Whoooosh.
By normal, I mean he did something that makes him look 'human' again, as opposed to the spotless god he was made out to be on TV.
Who gives two flying craps what he does away from the golf course. Seriously. If he's into cheating, who cares. It's noone's business but Tiger's.

A normal human being has the capability to do bad things, too. I thought that was interpreted. See my above post. To expect that Tiger didn't ever stick his hand in the cookie jar is a naive line of thinking. If he doesn't have his squeaky-clean image anymore, I laugh at people who get up in arms over this. Gee... really? Lol.

There are alot of these naive people you speak of. Alot of people viewed Tiger as a perfect god... and still have sympathy for him, STILL.

The 9 companies that he is a spokesman for have been punished in the markets and companies keep saying they are standing behind him but yet have pulled their ads....A lot of money at stake here and it is interesting to watch how that side of things is playing out. He is a billion dollar corporation and for example Nike has $800 million at stake per year as without Tiger there is no Nike Golf. Corporate America spends 12 Billion per year on spokespeople and the contracts today are shorter and easier to terminate. It is all about protecting the brand. A recent poll in the LA Times showed that 2/3 of people don't trust Tiger anymore, no big surprise obviously, but how does that translate with his sponsors. The paparazi are still turning a profit off of Tiger during these turbulent times as a family picture will get you $250,000.

Including the 10 Million kids involved with his foundation.....

Except that the price you pay when your a public figure. Its also the price you pay when you promote yourself as a family man. Its also the price you pay when it comes to adding to your income when it comes to endorsements.
In terms of the press thing, this is absolutely a story, why? Because the public wants to see it, and to probably a less extent see Tiger suffer for it. The news papers would be really boring and probably out of business if they reported only positive pieces. The media serves the interests of their readers and the general public, not the privacy of a celeb because he hits a golf ball (and hot chicks) really well.
Its no different from the politician who rolls out his family then gets destroyed when he's caught cheating.
Personally I'm kinda old school around the whole cheating on the wife thing myself.

Life & Style magazine is reporting nude images of Woods have been offered for sale from an anonymous person and the online magazine is currently ensuring the photos are real.
"We're ... trying to authenticate the photos before we make any decisions on purchasing the Tiger Woods pics and ascertaining the value," Playgirl's representative Daniel Nardicio told Life & Style.
Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton is suggesting the photos are cellphone pictures and were taken by one of Woods' girlfriends. Hilton alleges the photos are images of Woods' genitals.

I'm not arguing as to why it's news. You don't have to prove and explain your point over that, it's fairly obvious, and I'm not disagreeing with that. I'm saying that to anyone who thought he was squeaky-clean, well, nobody is. Not even Tiger Woods. The point is... I just don't care or hold it against him. He's a golfer and to me, that's all that matters. I don't care what he does behind closed doors, especially in a marital capacity. The media eats it up... but of course they do. That's their job. The rest of us, who actually see the situation for what it is, it's just not a huge deal. And if it is, its for Tiger and his wife to deal with, and deal with alone.

What I find worse than Tiger is all the people trying to profit on this thing with their pictures and their sensationalist sleaze media. Sure Tiger didn't act in the best interest of his family, but all these external parties aren't exactly helping them pull through it. What ever happened to respecting people's privacy, no matter who it is? I dont condone what Tiger has done, but the way that our society gravitates to these stories and eats it up like vultures is pretty disturbing. Its only a matter of time until people get bored of this and start picking away at another person in another scandal.
