Which site should I be using to book that trip because I can't find anything on that website for a flight + hotel.

Thanks,
Fraser

Just to verify, what price are you seeing? Is it $1333.10 ?

Because that's for two people.

I think pretty much 100% of the time when you see an 'all inclusive' price mentioned, it's the per person price based on 2 people in a room.

If you're seeing something else though, let me know, I haven't checked it past the Passenger Details page.

Awesome, I noticed it was sold out by last night. WestJet has it up for $1184 per person.

Now where's my commission Sunquest?

Let me know if you meet any other Calgarian deal hunters by the pool.

Is there such a thing as a sale on flights to Vancouver during the Olympics? Since everyone from restaurants to taxis seems to be gouging, it appears airlines have done the same...

Back in September we booked ours using miles. The flights were all $500+, but the points programs still showed it as costing the same number of miles as usual.

I think we used AeroPlan, and my bro used AirMiles, and he said there were tons of flights available.

Anyways, it makes it a worthwhile usage of the points I think, because I can't see flights getting cheaper for the Olympics.

The tough part is going to be finding a place to stay!

Oh yeah, and if you were going to consider getting a car anyways, there are flights in February to Seattle for $209 USD on Alaska Airlines (tax incl). Factor in a tank of gas for the drive back and forth and it would be pretty reasonable. But only if you were renting a car anyways.

UPDATE: Just checked and I'm seeing flights for $266 USD to YVR. What dates are you planning for? Feb 16-23 is $266. Or 3-4 night trips leaving on Mon/Tue for that price. Not *cheap*, but I remember seeing them for a lot more.

I haven't checked prices, but you could try YYC -> Abbotsford on WestJet as an alternative.

This flight + $80 EasyJet flight to Munich or Zurich gets you to the Alps, the best skiing/boarding in Europe, at the best time of year.

Personally I would take Easyjet to Geneva as this will get you closer to the three valleys, which is the best area in France.

If you fly to Zurich and head to the swiss resorts you should plan to double your budget.

Probably my favorite way to search for car rental prices is through Orbitz.

I'm seeing a mini-van or SUV for $774 USD at Alamo. The pickup is 'off terminal' with a shuttle.

^^^ better idea for sure, flight is the same price. Any idea how much EasyJet charges for bringing ski equipment? I can't imagine it's too cheap.

I've never had the chance to ski/board over in Europe, would love to give it a try. I like how you can just ski from one resort/town/country! to another in some areas.

We were in Chamonix in June and it looks like it would be an incredible experience in the winter.

I know this is planning WAY ahead but 4 of us are heading down to Vegas for the WSOP from May 27 and coming back the 31st.

We want to stay at the MGM Grand.
Best Deal we have found so far is $685 on expedia.ca which is way better than I can find anywhere.

Only issue is the return flight leaves Vegas at 9:35 and gets into Calgary at 12:44.
I was hoping to get the flight that leaves Vegas at 2:05 goes through Vancouver and arrives in Calgary around 8:30.
(Expedia isn't offering it as an option which is weird)

Does anyone know if I can change to that other flight through westjet later if I have already booked with Expedia? (Both flights show the same price on the West Jet site)

Are we better off to wait for a better deal closer to the date? I just don't know if this will get any better or not.
