9:53 - New log on the fire. Some poor log movement. The poker just isn't being utilized that well this year. FPAG performed some very sloppy log movements.

Shaw 313 for HD.
He just moved some logs. In kind of a 10:03-on-a-cold-Sunday-night-and-family guy-is-a-repeat sort of way

The tradition continues, even though I have Bell, and no FPAG to speak of on their token fireplace channel.
The avitar and sig had to come back.

Ha, love the FPAG sig.
Who needs a real fire with FPAG in HD and my industrial space heater set up next to the TV.

This year he seems to be just going through the motions. He used to get in there and root around with a purpose, but now it's just poke, poke, poke - oh, I'm done. I worry about him - is everything all right outside of the fire?

I can confirm that FPAG was fired, and this year they have a new guy. That might explain the different poking technique.

11:15 Fireplace Arm Guy report: Lots of movement by FPAG. New log on the fire. Took an interesting strategy with log placement this time. Went to the left instead of right. Looks like a quality fuel to air ratio currently.

20:05 - heard some stealthy flue adjustments, but with no actually FPAG sighting. Their work paid off however, our toasty little flame burst through into a full-on FPAG worthy flame.

You can't throw out something juicy like that and not give details. What happened? Did FPAG land on his feet? He's not in an alleyway drinking out of a paperbag, is he? I'm sure there are other AG gigs out there. Hope he's doing ok.

and that's the tragic part right there.
The thought of him out there somewhere, with the long chilled, cold metal fire poker at his feet. His one flannel-clad arm mournfully flicking the extra long, "SureLight" safety lighter, while lamenting the loss of the "good 'ol nights" tending the fire. It breaks my heart.
I'll light a candle for him tonight.

Oh yeah... TBAG. Forgot about that. Maybe for Easter he can find a job dipping hard boiled eggs into food colouring.

313 for Shaw I think.
Has anyone noticed his plaid shirts are somewhat dark this year? Not as colorful as I remember

You know, I don't even get FPAG and yet I read this thread. This has definitely become a tradition.

No one I've spoken to is quite sure where he is or what he's doing. I know his name and I'm trying to find him, so I can ask him a few questions about what it's like to be FPAG. I want to know if there were any fire stokes that really stood out, and that if he ever watches himself, does he see a stoke and wish he could have it back? What would he do differently?

Isn't this just some loop tape? They don't actually have some guy sitting around adding logs to a fire all day, do they? No wonder cable costs so much.

They've also got a man behind the camera, and someone in the production room. And I hear fireplace rent has gone through the roof.
