Denver could be up like 30 points if they wouldn't turn the ball over against the Chiefs. They might be letting the Chiefs hang around that game a bit too much for their own good.

Crazy play in the Saints/Skins game here. On 3rd and 26, Brees throws an interception and than Meachem strips the ball and takes it in for a TD. They're reviewing to see if there is down by contact after the INT, looks like it might be incomplete though.

Review isn't enough to change the ruling on the field, TD for the Saints to nod things up at 17.

Yeah and the bogus thing is the guy I am playing in fantasy football this week has the saints D.... he got 7 pts for that play .... freaking ridiculous .. it wasnt a def td IMO

Talk about a game changing play, I felt really bad for the RedSkins, they had the game under control, their defense was controlling the line of scrimmage and the Saints were doing nothing.

But there wasn't near enough evidence to overturn that call.

I think Todd Haley is a bad head coach. He makes some pretty stupid decisions. Why would you decline a holding penalty that would move your opponent out of field goal range? Why would you attempt a fake punt at that field position?

I thought they got the call in Washington correct. Looked like he caught the ball, certainly not enough evidence to call it incomplete. He wasn't anywhere near Shockey when he gained possession.

Todd gets pretty emotional and when things aren't working, he calls plays like you or I would do playing Madden football. Except we can hit the reset button if it doesn't work, he just looks like a fool. I think the Bronco's can Marty ball this sucker home for an easy win, and with a 8-4 record will look pretty good to set themselves up for a playoff run.

Also, given their record, he's really got nothing to lose with the fake punt I guess. Probably wouldn't try that in week 3.

Jamaal Charles is awful. The Chiefs need to find a RB in the first few rounds of the draft. Charles fumbles way too much.

Charles is okay, but he's not a guy who can handle the ball 25 times a game because of that tendency to fumble. Not a good guy to use as a feature back, more of a third down guy and in for the odd spread play.

I really don't know what the Chiefs are trying to do on offence though, as they are a complete mess right now. They need to upgrade the entire unit, so I suppose the best place to start is the line. After that they can find some backs and receivers. Pointless to draft a QB this year as they're financially married to Cassel and he'd just end up busting behind the current line anyways. They're still at least a 2 year project.

That defensive line is starting to show some life over the last few weeks. If they continue to develop...could be special. Lots of talent there for sure.

Sources: Reid close to extension

In recent weeks, the Philadelphia Eagles have signed offensive tackle Winston Justice and tight end Brent Celek to long-term contract extensions. Now they're about to hand out the most significant extension of all.

Coach Andy Reid is on the verge of finalizing a long-term contract extension with the Eagles, the team he has coached since 1999, league sources said.

The extension could be announced as early as this week.

Reid's current contract is scheduled to run through the 2010 season, but the new deal will tie Reid to the Eagles for years to come.
