Speaking of Pro Bowl, I went back to my picks from a couple of months ago. I wanted to see how much changed between now and then. I bolded my changes below:

I'm sure it was like slow motion to him.

Another snoozer in Toronto. I really wonder how much longer this Toronto venture is going to be feasible outside of having teams like the Colts/Patriots come up to play.

Glad to see Rogers lose a ton of money over this.

When was it ever a good idea?

How did they lose money? The NFL said it was sold out.

Are you kidding me? The NFL does better in Toronto every year than the Argos do.

And there were plenty of empty seats shown on tv. Couldn't bother to watch more than 10 minutes of this.

In the stadium, there weren't quite as many empty seats as last year's supposed sellout, though this probably had something to do with the lowered ticket prices (an average of $183 last year, reduced 17% this year, and further lowered through various online brokers) and the tarps over the lower east corners of the 100 level. Oh, and Blue Jays season-ticket holders were offered tickets to this game for free.

Scalpers were feeling neglected before the game, though, indicating they'd part with their ducats for considerably less than (pricey) face value but finding few takers.
One sidewalk entrepreneur said the market had been saturated by giveaways and promotional tickets.

One game a year. How would a team like the Bills do in Toronto for eight home games? They would draw more than the Argos, but I don't think it would be a blockbuster success.

It depends on the product. If the Bills become a playoff team, then I would definitely see it becoming a big success. Add a couple of home games against the Pats and Colts and you'd see sellouts.

Toronto is a lousy sports town. If it's not the Leafs, they'll only support something if it's a winner. If there was an NFL team there, pretty good chance they'd be facing blackouts every week and thats with a low capacity stadium unless the team was winning. If they were holding that game in Montreal, I suspect there would be more interest as it's become a pretty good football city. Their problem is that their big stadium might be the worst stadium ever built.

You're obviously not from Ontario. The Raptors have an excellent attendance record eventhough they fail to produce a contendor year in and year out.

If Toronto had a permanent NFL franchise then I can gaurantee they sell out. Here is why. Why go to see an NFL game with the Bills in Toronto when you can go to Buffalo and watch it for cheaper. This is why they are having a problem.

The NFL would flourish in Toronto. In High School when I played football there nobody ever talked about the CFL, we all considered it bush league. We only talked about the NFL and our favorite NFL teams.

Southern Ontario is NFL crazy, but bringing Buffalo to TO is not going to flourish unless it is permanent. Alot of my friends go to Bills games regularly in Buffalo but will not pay extra to go to the dome to watch them.

I guarantee you that if Toronto got an NFL team it would do pretty good, or as good as any other NFL team would do. I bet they would be fairing better then Jacksonville Jaguars. In a region of 5 million plus people where they already watch NFL on tv live, I don't see why they would pass up on having their own NFL team. Especially if they were competitive.

Probably would have to build their own stadium though since Roger Center is fairly low in seats for football.

Cowboys stats in December...

Since Romo started....5-10

Since 99....19-39

Wonder what it is with that team and Dec. games?

Upset alert??

Quote:
Since 2005, Brees is 0-5 in games where the temperature at kickoff was less than 45 degrees. That includes the postseason and Brees’ passer rating dips to 79.0 in cold-weather games.
Kickoff temperature is expected to be below 40.

Also just reported on ESPN, a lengthy contract extension for Andy Reid to be announced later this week.

19 different Saints have scored a TD this season!

Once again another Sunday for the Colts where the opposition needs the game much more and is talked about all week. I'm excited to see how this Colts defence can handle Chris Johnson and VY out of the pocket today.

How many QB's don't see that very thing happen to their rating in those conditions?

Please put an end to the insanity that is "The Titans can win 10 straight and make the playoffs!".

Do us all a favor.
