SCRUBS Season 9
New season started yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised how good it was.

Denise was hillarious as usual.

I watched the first two episodes, and I'm probably going to watch.
I was actually a little disappointed when I found out the show was going to continue, as Scrubs was one of my favorite shows of all time, and I thought they did a perfect job of wrapping up the series when they thought they were cancelled.
That being said, I'm inclined to think of this as a new show, and I'm optimistic that it will be good.

I thought Scrubs was supost to go to ABC to die an un-neccessary death. Good to hear it's still going. Along with 30 Rock, it's one of the shows I'm not watching that I wish I was.

It was a little dissapointing to see it come back, only because the series ender was so perfectly done.
It was good, but I'm skeptical. The new chick is just a girl version of JD when he started. And everyone else pretty much plays themselves. I thought the story with "Jo" from facts of life and that dude was a little forced. It reminded me of old Scrubs, but it went way to fast and way to quickly. With her bursting into the bar saying, "How could you make me open up and put myself out there?" And then the dude who said something about ruining all relationship and all it took was Kelso to say, "Don't push everyone away because that's what I did".
BUT, I'll watch it and see where it goes just the same.

It'll be interesting when JD is not in the show, I think he only is in 6 of the episodes this season.
that being said, i really enjoyed the past 2 episodes.

I did enjoy the show last night, the guy who continually makes the show better is Doctor Cox.
I was surprised to see so many original cast members in the first episode, but was there really a point to Sarah Calke or whatever her name is to show up for 8 seconds?
Some pretty funny scenes in it, but you can really see that the new cast is going to be a reflection of the old cast.
But I did love the whole #1 storyline last night.
I thought that Denise's whole thing was that she would only do fat guys because of their low self esteem.

IMO, one of the best sitcom characters around. And best acted.
Should only take a couple years before we get the new episodes here. Sigh. Internet TV subscriptions can't arrive soon enough.

Damn it I missed this. Any chance it's being re-played on a different station?

Checked the PVR and everything up to next week seems like repeats of old shows

Meh I thought it was ok. We'll have to see how the characters develop but so far it doesn't look like it will be close to as good as the previous show. Basically I think you have to treat it as a brand new show and see how it evolves since 90% of the original characters will be off Scrubs by episode 7.
I was always told the original show was the closest of all medical shows when it came to portraying residency. This new version on the other hand is nothing close to what med school is like!

Scub's used to be a must watch show for me, but it really flatlined with the new characters, and they basicalyl abused JD and made him into too much of a running joke.
I might PVR it tonight

I don't find it the same anymore.
All the original characters have become magnified caricatures of themselves in the first series and the new characters are all just individual fragments of the original personalities.

No Ted, Janitor, Carla, Rowdy, Snoop Dogg Attending, Sasha the scooter, Mickhead, Colonel Doctor, Keith, Doug, Nurse Laverne, Lonnie, Cabbage.
I have a hard time understanding why the last 2 seasons even happened. Just let it go already. Since the move from NBC to ABC it's just dragged along like there is one extremely rich super fan subsidizing the show so they can see new episodes even though no one wants to do it anymore.

Exactly Barnes, and yet shows that were amazing pieces of work (Arrested Development) didn't even get the runs they deserved.
