Fan960 Morning Show
Whats going on with the fan morning show? I haven't heard Kirkwood or Rowe for some time and now Richards isn't on this morning.
Are they changing the talent over? Any ideas on who they might be trying to get in and what kind of program its going to be?
Will Kerr be on air for 24 hours a day?

I don't even listen to the show, but i've heard Kirkwood has moved on, and Dave Rowe is over at QR77 now.

They probably got sick of Kerr's massive ego and holier than thou attitude.

Ya haven't hear Kirkwood in a while and was wondering where he went. Rowe leaving doesn't matter to me. Fan 960 wasn't getting the Stamps rights so it makes sense for him to move on to AM 770. Surprised that Kirkwood left/fired/whatever. Honestly, don't really listen to the morning show. I'll tune in to listen at 8:05 to hear Pete but other than that, just don't like Mike Richards. The singing, the voices, the skits. Just give me sports talk radio. Love the afternoon boys though. Rome is good too (I know I'm in the minority lol).

Kirkwood left Fan960 a couple of weeks ago. All Mike Richards said one morning was Doug Kirkwood and Rogers have parted ways. If I was to guess, I bet he was layed off.
In good news .... I heard Joylene on the Radio on Fan960 on Saturday...

Mike was probably just hungover today. It happens!
I like Richards -there's a lot of filler, but he also has on good regular guests, like Maguire, Brunt, Scott Taylor, Peter Maher, and others. Perfect for the drive to work.

If Doug was laid off, then why is there a job listing for what was essentially his position?

Maybe they finally figured out that Richards sucks and they took him off the air. I've tried a few times to listen and I just don't understand how anyone could put up with his 12 year old sense of humour. It just isn't funny.

because it is cost effective to higher a guy with 1-3 years experience than a guy's talent of Doug Kirkwood!

I know lots and lots of people who love his morning show. As others have mentioned he gets great guests and his show is entertaining to listen to when driving to work.

King Richards!
I am a huge fan of the morning show... or at least the old morning show! I love Mike Richards' bits and his "12 year old humour"

Richards has jumped the shark long ago. It was good when he first appeared with with Romaniuk as his side-kick, as a smart competent guy was a perfect foil for him. Now, after 5 years of the same crap it's really played. His target demographic is the high-school educated crowd, and that's the level of his humour - it's funny sometimes, but often too lame. And he is an awful, awful interviewer - he doesn't know how to ask a question - if you notice, he rambles on for 30-90 secs before getting to his point, and winds up wasting a lot of the good guest slots as a result.

Richards can be very funny. Some bits fall flat (especially the songs), but the good ones make me howl (Armitage, Victor Newman). He needs a better foil though. When he worked with Paul Romaniuk on the Team, it was hilarious.
Gerry Forbes - there is someone who is NOT funny.

I am sorry that all of our humour levels could not be as well aged and devine as yours, Vlady... My education levels are far beyond high school and I laugh almost every morning... Flames of Our Lives is brilliant IM "fart jokes are still funny" O
... and I couldn't care much less about the interviews... If you want interviews listen to CBC Radio

Pauly is not doing much - I wonder if the FAN has the budget to lure him here...
