A lot of gas stations in the morning will be charging $1.03/L, in the past year gas has now gone up over 30 cents a litre, this is just rediculous.

Gasoline demand has barely been affected by the increases in prices over the last 3 years or so. Maybe this psychological milestone price of $1 a liter will finally cause people to start using less.

It's ridiculous. They say reserves are actually okay, but the price keeps going up up up. I think now that it has hit a dollar in Canada and almost 3 bucks here in the US, it will probably become a very big issue.

101.9 here in Toronto... although I paid only 84.9 last week.
However, I was in Italy about a month ago and gas was 1.25 to 1.30 euros/L, so that's almost $2 CDN/L. It could be much worse!!!

I wonder why it is always the Northwest that leads the city in highest gas prices? I am never moving up there.
$1.00 a litre is only a short term psychologial barrier. As soon as we get used to it, we will simply shrug it off.

crowfoot used to be one of the cheap spots, but not the last couple times i breezed through. don't know what gives.
whatever happened to that cheapo gas that used to be in the walmart parking lot on 162nd ave south?

It's 1.13 in the mornings here in vancouver and drops like 10 cents after 5pm. Lately there's been long lines for prices at 1.01.

Who cares. Doesn't anybody in Calgary work in the oil/gas industry? This is the best thing going. We are making coin hand over fist. On another note.... The boom won't last, but the prices of gas probably will.

Companies, and the federal government, who illegally charge a tax on a tax, benifit. We dont.

That's not the issue we are talking about here. I agree with you 100% (including emissions, etc). I am talking about the whining Albertans who can't see the forest for the trees. We are beneficieries of the oil boom. Including "Your CALGARY FLAMES". No oil, no gas, no flame. Live it, love it. [I'm talkin ownership here]
EDIT - I misunderstood your post a litlle bit about the "we don't"
How do you and every other Calgarian NOT benefit from Higher gas prices. Please explain to me.
