Default New Scottish Brew

You have got to be kidding! First deep-fried chocolate bars and now this.

Why are people in Scotland angry about that? This makes no sense. Nanny state is right.

It probably has something to do with the pervasive 'binge-drinking' culture that exists in every corner of the UK. I know that it exists elsewhere, including Canada, but there is a real problem over here. I saw some figures recently that claimed 90% of a local (Sussex) police force's resources on a Saturday night are allocated to issues related to alcohol consumption. And, sadly, Scotland seems to be a bit worse off than England.

This is an extremely strong beer; it should be enjoyed in small servings and with an air of aristocratic nonchalance
That is awesome..

I can't imagine how terrible this beer will taste. I have tried strong Scottish Beer... Super Tennennts is around 9% and it tastes like a normal lager with a little bit of rubbing alcohol mixed in.

BrewDog was previously branded irresponsible for an 18.2% beer called Tokyo, which it then followed with a low alcohol beer called Nanny State.
Pure awesome.

I was just going to pull up the old "1000 best beers" thread to post this. I've had a 29% barleywine made by Hair of the Dog, and it was vicious. Made with the same technique. Video about the process from the brewery - love the Batz-Maru.
