Default Windows 7 - Crashes when put to sleep

I have a Lenovo T61 laptop that is running windows 7. For about the first few weeks, window seven ran well with no problems. About a week ago, when I try to put my computer to sleep it has problems. The screen will go black and will stay black even though I try to wake it up but the wireless light and power light are still on. After a while it will just turn off. When I press the power button to turn it back on, it acted as if I had just done a hard turn off. I've tried to update everything but nothing works. Anyone have a fix/same problem?

go into your bios and make sure the sleep settings are enables, and, I think, if there is a choice, you want s3, not s1...

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

are you using bit locker?

Also, did you upgrade your video card driver?

Bitlocker is a native Microsoft application that encrypts your hard drive. They recently released a hotfix to fix a power down problem.

When I upgraded to Windows 7 on my laptop, I had to go directly to the manufacturer to get the latest video drivers for Windows 7. You might want to see if there are any latest drivers that's not listed on the Lenovo site.
