Fallon just happened to be on my tv while i was doing something else. Man. This guy stinks. It's like a train wreck. Just when you think he can't be more of a robot, no-charisma bozo, he keeps going.
I think I was in this thread earlier expressing my dislike for Jimmy Fallon on his show. But I have to admit, he's growing on me!! The skits between the monologue and guests are usually pretty funny.
It's good thing his show has money, and they gave him the chance. He'll probably get the whole talk-show thing down soon, NBC probably chose him for a reason
I think Fallon appeals more to young 20 years olds - a lot of his jokes and sketches are about twitter and facebook and reality shows. Stuff I don't get.
The Roots are worth the price of admission. When they improvise songs for audience members you can see how versatile they are.
I'd like to see you guys do any better. Give the man some times to get into things. Conan was awful at one point too, now every is on his bangwagon.
I disagree. After having gone back and watching the first couple of episodes of Conan, I think he was just as funny then as he is now. Weird body gestures, geeky awkwardness....that wasn't him being bad, that was him being Conan.
I think Conan's success is more due to his audience finally getting what he is about, not he himself changing.
Switched over to Fallon after the Flames game and saw this, which I think is possibly one of the best bits I've seen him do, either on SNL or his new show:

With Conan on hiatus, I've been checking out Fallon lately - he seems to be finding his feet. Here he slow-jams the news with Brian Williams and The Roots:
