Last night Howse had a goal, an assist and finished a +3 in a 6-1 win.
In the same game Bouma finished a -3.
Yes, Alexander is playing one level lower than the SEL. At 20 to be third in points is an accomplishment. I would want to keep him on the radar if I was Darryl Sutter.

Im just wondering how much consideration he will get considering our young depth a D.

Backlund with an assist tonight and +1. His line the only plus in a 3-1 loss to the tigers. Backlund is second on the team in goals with 7. Behind jaffrays 9. Second on the team in SOG with 68. Second to jaffray at 77. Next closest is 48 sog.

Played with chucko and sutter tonight.

Listened to most of the game on the radio, sounded like the Heat generally outplayed the opposition but just couldn't get the pucks in the net. It sounded like he (Backlund) had a good game.

In other flame prospect news Ryan Howse had two goals and an assist, +2, and was the games 1st Star in a 6-4 Bruin victory

Gaelan Patterson had an assist and was a +2 in a 4-1 win.
Spencer Bennett had an assist and was a -1 in a 6-4 loss.
Mitch Wahl had an assist and was a +1 in a 3-1 win.
TJ Brodie finished with an even rating
and like the post said above Ryan Howse had another great night.

Howse is lighting it up so far. 11th overall in points. 3rd overall for Goals scored. The kid was the 2nd overall pick in the WHL draft back in the day and was projected to be a star.. but he had a really tough start to his dub career. If he keeps coming along, he could be a real gem for this team.

Does the radio station have an online feed that covers Heat games?

Thx

A goal that never should have happened since Wahl should not have been on the ice. The Chiefs got called for icing from their own zone, and Wahl jumped over the boards after the whistle. The referee sent him back, but he never left the ice. Spokane called a time out, and Wahl skated out to take the faceoff, with the ref watching the entire time.

Spokane cheated, and a guy who came in on an illegal line change not only won the faceoff, but scored the tying goal. The referee, of course, was Chris Savage. Not surprising the most incompetent official in hockey failed to do his job, directly changing the outcome of a game.

Ryan Howse named WHL player of the week. 3 goals 4 assists +5 rating in 3 games during the week. He's having a real solid season so far.

They forgot Spencer Bennett.
I emailed HF, hopefully they add a review on him.

I can't believe how well Ryan Howse is doing. I can't wait to see the future Flames team.

Actually, I skipped Bennett on purpose. I was asked to focus on prospects that were doing really well or really poorly thus far. Bennett fell right in the middle. In addition, I've never seen the kid play so I couldn't really add anything to his perfectly medicore stats line.
