Loving it, just need to keep the intensity up, we get the ball first in the second half a chance to really put Carolina in a hole.

Maybe Polite's fumble will give Lex even more carries!'
Miami has this one in control methinks. Delhomme really does look like a shadow of his former self.

Carolina had a chance but probably needed about another 20 seconds to send this game to OT. Dolphins hang on to win 24-17 and are now 5-5. I'm sure they will be cheering for the Jets but I don't see how the Patriots can lose to them at Foxboro.

2 things to respond to your quote.
1. Sparano keeps making coaching mistakes, why you don't try to kick a 46 yard field goal there, the kicker has missed only one all year. Also if he misses they only gain an extra 7 yards. Stupid coaching if your ask me.
2. Yes I will be cheering for the Jets and I've never felt so dirty in my life. I'd feel less dirty sleeping with a toothless smelly dirty hooker.

On the telecast they mentioned that in 21 of the last 22 seasons a team who was 5-5 or worse went on to make the playoffs. So that might bode well for a Miami team who are now 5-5. Although they still do have a pretty tricky schedule left.

Sounds like Orton will miss this weekend.

The backup quarterback for the Denver Broncos took the snaps with the starters again Thursday, making it increasingly likely he'll start against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday in place of Kyle Orton, who hasn't practiced since spraining his left ankle last week at Washington.

Center Scott Wells reported concussion symptoms this week and was held out of practice Thursday. With center Jason Spitz already on injured reserve, the Packers would be left with undrafted rookie Evan Dietrich-Smith against the 49ers. Coach Mike McCarthy said he hopes Wells will be able to practice Friday but that his status was “up in the air,” according to Jason Wilde of ESPN Milwaukee.
By my count, that would make the seventh different combination of starters in 10 games for the Packers. Some of that has been injury-related, but none of it has been positive for creating efficient and cohesive play.

With Miami sitting at 5-5, I believe Miami has a better chance of catching Denver than SD for the Wildcard. SD beat Miami so they own the tie break. I do hope SD pulls off the win this week-end. I know you hope I am wrong.

A lot of talk this week about Denver's defense 'imploding'.
What kills me is that people are actually talking up the Chargers defense as playing 'great' right now. I've seen it a few times on the NFL network. How can a defense that gave up almost 500 yards in offense be playing great? If Andy Reid had balls they could've easily lost last week. Fact is, they have a horrible secondary that gives up big pass plays on a weekly basis and they are the worst team in the NFL at stopping the run straight up the middle.
Look for a big dose of the run game from the Broncos this weekend.
Denver has the better defense. If they don't turn the ball over they'll have a chance to win.

I agree for the most part, but there is one huge thing going against the Broncs. SIMMS!!!! That guy better not suck it up like he did last game.

10 of the 11 Colts games have now been on basic cable (after this Sunday). That is nuts. I'm not going to get Sunday Ticket next year.
Speaking of Indy..........i'm really looking forward to the challenge of Baltimore this week. Ray Lewis and Ed Reed are two amazing players on defense.

I think Simms will be fine. It's a lot different when a guy comes in during a game, having no reps with first team all week, as opposed to having an entire week to prepare.

A week of first team practice snaps should alleviate that level of suckage. If he can be good enough to win, that's another question. Personally, I think Orton will play.

Chargers-Broncos will be a good game this week. I think San Diego comes out on top based on how things have played out the last few weeks and Simms in at QB for Denver. Denver really needs that game though.

God I hope so. The papers here have been reporting all week that Simms has been taking the 1st team reps all week. One week doesn't make up for damn near 3 years out of football. I truly hope the spleenless wonder does well on Sunday, but my faith is shaken at this point.

Funny, where I live the Colts have had less games on regular satellite feed this year than normal, which convinced me to get Sunday Ticket.
I'm definitely looking forward to this game. I have a real hard time believing that the Ravens are actually favored, but the Colts rarely avoid close games. Baltimore didn't really impress me on Monday, but they are capable of playing much better.
If Indy stops the run, and Freeney and Mathis have a good day this game won't be close. If Baltimore establishes the run it will be a close one.
My pro line this week - Detroit, Indianapolis, San Diego and Philly.
