What are they doing in the van in that vi-- actually you know what, don't worry about it.
I wonder what the budget was on this video.. two or three weeks allowance?
After watching that video I can appreciate the Transit Police one so much more.

"Cody The Caught" with his super-duper hit Drink Till I'm Drunk, Smoke Till I'm High
Sure, it's no "Bat Out Of Hell," but you can have only so many generational anthems.
I wasnt sure I wanted to actually listen to it, but I did for about a minute before I decided that Id like my ears to stop bleeding, but I have to say that he'll be the next big thing if he continues throwing out lyrics such as: "drink rum like a pirate...ARRRRR!"

Great video - I can't believe the guy just ran around on the platform until the cop finally caught him. He had so many chances to jump of the platform - it was like he wanted to get caught.
Honestly, I was expecting way worse in his hip hop video. It really wasn't terrible in that they edited together a video that was reasonable given an obviously small budget, the rapping was fine and the lyrics made sense and there was actually a beat/music that tied it all together.
Will they get a record deal out of it? Probably not, but for some at-risk Calgary kids they did pretty good job. They are also doing a good job of promoting themselves with their transit cop video.
He's still a ######, but if he's trying to promote himself as a thug rapper in the Calgary scene he is doing a good job IMO.
Except that it appears like you're trying to stimulate an intellectual conversation with a video of a couple morons acting like ######s.
The way you posted it made me think this was going to be something worthy of seeing and even discussing. It would have been more apropos to just say, "Haha look at these assclowns." Instead of
This is like creating a serious thread to discuss family violence, and then including a youtube clip of a 3 year old hitting his dad in the nuts with a plastic baseball bat to prove your point.
I mean... I could be wrong in my interpretation, but this is the impression I got from your post.
I'm not sure if you are being sarcastic or not but I will respond anyway.
Here is what I said:

While I hate to make a thread like this, just curious how you guys feel about this video:

Clearly I wasn't asking whether I thought they were right or, get this, that's is what I would have asked.
In the light of a lot of police video threads on this board, I thought it might generate some interesting discussion.
This video, like many others shows how, when taken out of context, it is easy to be critical of police actions however in this case, the video failed and had an exact opposite effect.
While I have got a good chuckle at a fair number of your posts recently, you are a main reason many new posters are intimidated when it comes to creating threads. Hold your judgment and respond to the original post.
Next time I make a post, I'll be sure to run it by you first.

Seriously, though, can you not see how it was possible to interpret your original post the way I did? I don't know you, so all I have are some words on a screen to go by.
Most sane people would naturally react to this video by rolling their eyes at the whole thing, and even wishing they were there with a can of pepper spray to help the transit cops. The fact that you wanted to have a serious discussion about this video (insted of posting it for us to laugh at) told me that you had a vested interest in the outcome of this discussion.
I assumed your vested interest was because you knew the kids (or were part of it), which is why I asked why you posted the video. I wasn't trying to be a jerk, I actually wanted to know why you chose this particular video which clearly was never going to inspire a serious debate.
Anyway, I came on a bit strong I guess... but I always sound like that in text. I'm certainly not proud of being the single biggest reason why people don't post here. It's odd to hear that I intimidate people. In fact if you actually knew me you'd realize I'm closer to Jim Carrey than Clint Eastwood.

Cody's Facebook page shows he's a fan of Vancouver Canucks.
Suddenly it all makes sense.
I literally just had an Ahhhhhh ok I get it now, moment.

I'm curious how they don't get pepper sray on themself. Someone a camp spot over from us sprayewd some and it obliterated all of us.
That is exactly why we are sprayed in training... Well most agencies anyway (some puss Customs Officer filed a complaint once and the Feds backed off...).
This is one of the most valuble parts of training. If you spray, you WILL be contaminated and have to deal with that. You probably had a bear spray experience... That stuff is WEAK ...but still strong
In regards to the vid... I see no problems with regards to excessive force. The Officer who sprayed needs to learn about wind patterns, target zone for a baton strike (legs, not arms), and a more effective ground fighting technique. All that being said... Cody "the catch" is a tool and looks like a real moron.

I didn't know I had to make it clear what my motivation was/is.
You are asking me to put a judgment on the video which you have clearly done. To be honest, I didn't know what kind of reaction it would get. But I think I mentioned in my last post what I thought might be part of the intelligent discussion. I actually didn't think it would be this one sided.
The best part is, you based your entire response(s) on what 'side' I was on and that I had a vested interest in the video. Thus your responses were intended to be inflammatory.
You can make jokes about the whole intimidation thing. I am not intimated by you or anyone else. But there was a thread not to long ago about how the quality on CP has gone downhill... case in point.
Edit:
Let's just stay on topic. If you wish to discuss it further; my motivation, intent, etc, feel free to PM me.

Uhh... I think you're taking a simple question a little too personally. While I admit I could have chosen better words, I don't see anything wrong with the basic concept of wondering why someone does something. Blaming me for contributing to the universal destruction of CP is a little bit of a stretch.

Ya dude, I'm not taking anything personally. Everything I say you sensationalize- "<-- Scarer of new posters"... "universal destruction of CP"... give it a rest... you thought I was something I am not. You rationalized my motivation based on this... it doesn't matter. Either contribute or don't... it's really simple.
