So why didn't they vote for Russell last night?

I think the Rocket Scientist came up with the decision to go after Natalie. They needed to knock a Foa Foa off, and weren't sure whether Russell had the idol. The idea was go after someone not protected.

Pony tail dude sure looks like an idiot these days, especially with how arrogant and cocky he was with some fellow tribe mates. His dumb founded expressions are priceless.

I can't believe I am beginning to actually cheer for Russell now.

Not sure if that was the only reason. They pretty much knew that it was going to be a 5-5 draw because the other side wasn't going to turn, by putting russells name down they actually would have protected him from the rock drawing. By voting Natalie they protected the weakest member of that alliance, if they actually managed to get her out then it wouldn't matter anymore because they had numbers.

How so? Wouldn't it have been a revote and then he'd be subjected to the draw just as Laura would have been?

They said that if it came down to a rock drawing that the two people voted on would not be part of the draw so both of them would be safe. I'm really glad I've been watching it this season, this has got to be one of the best ones. Definitely revitalizes an old show.

Erik was the guy on the jury who is from the original Galu tribe who is now openly cheering for Russell and his crew to pick off his former tribemates. He was ousted by his own team right after the merge because (I suppose) he was annoying them.

Is anyone HIGHLY disappointed with the results from last night?

I give Natalie a year before she poses for Playboy.

Hugely dissapointed. Russell got robbed!!! He should've won in a clean sweep. It looked like Russell was ready to cry. At least he won the most popular survivor. I liked how Jeff kept saying how he felt Russell should've won. I really hope he returns for Surivor 20. That looks like its going to be the best season yet.

What is up with Jaison and Erik? How can they both say Natalie played a better game? The jury consisted of losers who couldn't put the fact that Russell was the biggest reason they were sitting there aside. They voted with emotion and not their brains.

Russell got screwed plain and simple. He was the best survivor ever

Any guesses on who the villians and heroes are for next season? Is Richard Hatch out of jail yet?

The one thing that I hate about survivor and stopped watching it is the stupidity of the jury system.

They don't base their votes around the person that played the game to the spirit, they base it around their own whiney ego's about who outplayed them, or lied to them or blindsided them.

The best strategy to win the game is to lynch on to the strongest player who actually plays the game the way its suppossed to be played and hope that people perceive you as the nicest person of the bunch because the juries screaming for revenge over hurt feelings.

Personally Russell made a key mistake in who he took to the finals. In order to win you need to take the most incompetent unlikable people who got caught in their plays.

The game as it stands is a dissapointment its not about outplay, outhink and outlast. Its about teddy bears and flowers and the most under the radar person who refuses to do anything interesting wins.

Personally, I think that each player should get one fatallity card that they can use through out the game, and there's a weapons shed at each camp. The only condition is that you can't get caught doing the deed on camera.

And extra points for style.

Russell was the best player to ever play Survivor... . Who cares if he was deceptive and lied, it is a game and he played it better than anyone else has ever played. Natalie winning a million bucks is a joke. As much as Shambo made me want to jab my eyes and ears out she couldn't have said it any better with her rant when she said only one of the three was deserving of the win.

What made me laugh was Natalie trying to sell the fact that aggressive woman get voted off first in the game. Way to totally play the weak female card.

While I think Russel deserved to win, he completely ignored the social game. If you keep reminding people of how much of a dick you are, they're not going to vote for you.

Even the 2nd greatest villain Richard Hatch made a friend (Rudy). How many friends did Russel have?

Damn. I was hoping Richard Hatch would be on the show. I wanted Johny Playfair again as well.

I actually hate Survivor and everything it stands for. My wife watches it though, so I can't help but catch glimpses of it. Although I have to admit, I found myself getting sucked in near the end and that Russell guy made it worth watching. Despite being somewhat of a prick, I couldn't help but root for him. He was a hoot, and in a show where I dislike everybody on it, i would have loved to have seen the #1 heal win it. I also bet that in real life, he is probably a good guy.

It also kind of bothered me that some people thought that because he is financially successful, that he didn't "deserve" the money. Really now.... NOT one of those lying backstabbers "deserves" $1 million for acting like sociopaths (which they all either did or would do if given the chance). Besides, for all we know, Russell might have worked harder than any of them ever did in their whole lives... and people shouldn't be punished for that.
