Minnesota fans are stuffing the ballot box. 10 Vikings are in 1st in the NFC Pro Bowl vote. Only 1/3 goes to fan voting though.
Brees, Manning and Petersen are the top 3 vote getters overall (Dallas Clark is #10 overall).

Anyone think Brian Cushing has a shot at the Pro Bowl if he keeps up his superb rookie numbers?

It'll be a shame if Brian Orakpo doesn't get a Pro Bowl nod just because he plays on a terrible team.

Well I'd argue at least 5 of those Vikings deserve to be there. And there's one that should be in the Pro Bowl that isn't leading, and that's Chad Greenway.
The 10 players are Adrian Peterson, fullback Fahu Tahi, tackle Bryant McKinnie, guard Steve Hutchinson, center John Sullivan, kicker Ryan Longwell, kick returner Percy Harvin, defensive end Jared Allen, defensive tackle Kevin Williams, and special-teamer Heath Farwell are in first place at their respective positions.
As for Orapko, I think he will end up in the Pro Bowl as a rookie, as well with Cushing. They are both having amazing seasons thus far.

I don't care what Saints make the Pro Bowl since none of them will be able to play in the game anyway.

I'd rather have Super-bowl players as opposed to pro-bowl players.

Orton did not practise today, but I wouldn't read anything more into that than what it is. I doubt he'll practise tomorrow either, whether his ankle feels good or not.
Still, I'm pretty nervous.

Losing Ronnie Brown hurts the dolphins. Lets see what kind of fight the team has left.

It will be interesting to see how often they use the wildcat. I expect to see Pat White in more now. Joey Porter is going to play after all according to Saprano.

Yikes. Bowe's head is like 50% into the game it seems. The guy has talent, but there still are some issues where he's at upstairs. Another talented player who doesn't always get it.
|
Weighing in late here, but Bowe was under a lot of pressure to lose 30 pounds by Todd Haley during training camp. Also Haley had the "training camp from hell" this past year to whip the hapless Chiefs into shape. I guess players will go to extreme lengths to please their coach. I do have to say that Haley's conditioning seems to be working so far since the Chiefs have had very few injuries this season compared to last season where they lead the league in injuries.
Sounds like the Chiefs had known about Bowe's suspension for a month and was likely the reason they picked up Chambers.

This girl was on Howard Stern yesterday.
http://www.nygiantsgirl.com/
Although she seems to be really into the Giants, upon being asked who the Giants all time sack leader was. Her response was Tiki Barber, she claimed to be nervous. She claims she goes to every game, home and away.

Bills sign QB Brian Brohm from Green Bay's practice squad.
http://tsn.ca/nfl/story/?id=298969
Brian Brohm has to be one of the weirdest stories in all of football. Would've been a first round pick in the 2007 draft, instead he goes back to college and has a down year. He then goes late in the second round of the 2008 draft, and now he's off to the Bills to be a third-stringer. The guy must be killing himself these days with all of the guaranteed money he's given up.

Interesting perspective here:
Quote:
Drill defenseless receiver: $7,500
Chop block: $5,000
Rough the passer: $5,000
(with relish, $7,500)
Go to the ground with a knee to
celebrate: $10,000
Let your sock slip, exposing a knee: $5,000
Wear a college hat on the sidelines: $25,000 (seriously)
This is how the NFL convinces us it's serious about doing minimizing life-threatening concussions? By making a fashion faux pas four or five times more serious than a concussion-producing cheap shot?

Starting to get pumped about tonight. Getting ready to go home from work. Bottle of whiskey a dolphins game and then PVR for the flames game. Gonna be a good night I hope.
A win tonight and we are right back in the wildcard race. The team will need character tonight to win without Ronnie Brown.
