Hey Vlad... I like the idea of the WSOP seat at the end, but I echo the comments that I wouldn't be able to afford $100... even monthly.
I am however interested in helping out if we wanted to do a B pool... something like $20 a week or something like that. Yeah, I know that $20 a week = roughly $80 a month... but it's easier for me to pull together $20 here and there rather than $100 once a month. Believe me.
So, in association with what you got going on, would there be interest in a $10-$20 buy in league, scheduled weekly? I could host a game here and there... bad news... in Airdrie.
Just throwing that out there...

Preach it, brother.
I'd be interested in that too. I don't mind driving for a poker game--and I could possibly bring at least one other guy if the buy-in were low.

So... are girls welcome? I feel I should clarify that up front.
The most I'd be comfortable with is $50 once a month. Most the house games I play are more in the $20/$30 range.

If you have money, I don't care if you are man, woman or both.

Depending on how much total interest there is, I'd be into that. Sounds like Peanut would as well. I think it might help to keep two lists--people who would play under a more expensive "WSOP" format, and people who might meet and play lower stakes without a leaderboard prize. It's quite possible we have enough interest for both, I think.

Don't forget to mention that it's "friends that I met on the internet." That should make her feel better.

I am actually thinking about doing the first one at our office boardroom, since it's very accessible from any part of the city, and we can drink here no problem... I'll let everyone know for sure shortly.

I'd be interested in a cheaper group, 20 bucks a week or every other week type deal. Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to host in my 700 sq ft apartment that I share with 2 other people.

OT:
I know that I'm a frequent of the Calgary casino poker room scene. I'm a regular at Stampede, Cash, Grey Eagle, and Elbow; I play everything; 1-2 NL, 2-5 NL, 5-5 PLO, 4-8 Limit, 15-30 Limit. Just wondering if there are any other fellow CPers who are frequent casino poker players?

I play Deerfoot fairly often. Used to play Elbow when I could stand limit.
