Default Is 1G enough data for a month?

I'm wondering if 1G is lots of date? Generally how much surfing of youtube, email etc. Would I have to do to use this up? Thanks guys.

Depends on the phone. Is it a smartphone? Blackberrys use ALOT less data per page then the iPhone, as the iPhone displays it the same as a typical web browser. Ive used over a gig on an iPhone, but never over 200mb on the Blackberry.

Depends on who you're dating.

(Please tell me you didn't substitute "date" for "data".)

Lol it took me forever to figure out what this post was about, so fixed the thread name for you.

I've never used 1GB in a month.

I use my blackberry literally 24/7 with about 5 apps making updates every 5 to 15 minutes and the highest i've ever reached is 450 mb. That's with a blackberry 9000 w/ 3G.

I use wunderadio just about all day everyday during the work week, browse for an hour or so every day, download an app. or two a day. The most I used in a month was 1.2 gig

I use simplify to stream my home music to my iphone almost every day and do a ton of browsing. I've never gone over 1GB in a month.

I pretty much use it to solve bets between friends, check movie times, read cp, haven't even come close to 100megs in a month.

Part of it though is the fact that the iPhone uses wifi, wifi probably saves me most of my data particularly since wifi is everywhere, I was driving on stoney trail and it asked me if I wanted to join something or other

1 gig is plenty in my opinion assuming you have internet at home.

Depends on the phone.

For an iPhone, if you're going to use apps that heavily eat up data (Youtube, streaming radio, video, etc.) probably not.

For a BB, yes. More than enough.

So two different responses here. One earlier saying the IPHONE uses less, but you saying it uses more.

If you have Wifi at work and home it is almost pointless to take more than a 1GB plan. I have never gone over 300 Mb, and I have basically made my laptop obsolete since I got it.

The iPhone uses ALOT more then Blackberry's.

But if you monitor your usage and have WiFi at home as previously mentioned, 1GB Is more then enough.

I've got the 6GB a month plan, yet I've never gone over 200MB a month, with fairly heavy iPhone use.

Funny how everyone was crying bloody murder when those Roger's iPhone rates first came out.

Fido gives you a simple way to gauge your usage on their site.

http://www.fido.ca/web/content/inter...ata_calculator

The chart on that page is pretty good.
