Look out for free old dutch chips? Fire some fireworks at some shielas on Whyte? Have a fight over a beer can? Stabbings? There's plenty to do.

A quick search of Ticketmaster shows Lights, David Wilcox, and Dinosaur Jr playing Deadmonton on Friday... three not too shabby choices, depending on your musical taste.

Preparing for a Friday night out on the town in Edmonton
1. Purchase/find dress shoes
2. Locate sweat pants
3. Wear dress shoes and sweatpants (yes, together)
3a. No shirt is required, seriously, thats why it wasnt on the list
4. Go anywhere you want, you will be accepted as a local

A Friday night in Edmonton isn't complete without a few rounds of windshield washer fluid at a local watering hole. Try the blue stuff - it's a local favourite and most of the higher-end bars on Whyte Ave serve it.

Go out to any bar and discuss how much the Oilers suck with people. Don't let them know you actually hate them and are from calgary. it's good fun. You can on and on about the Horcoff contract for at least a jug of beer.

Drive on a properly constructed ring road.
Go to one of the best casinos in the province - on a reserve west of the city that isnt run by a group of complete ######bags.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't there lights on their ring road?

Basically the lights are on the west end because the overpasses aren't anywhere near done. To drive the rest of the Henday is a dream though.

I would tell you to take in the Flames vs Buffalo game, but the locals here don't have a habit of putting on any Flames games at the bar and pubs here

One of these days when I have time, I want to get a bunch of Flames fans together invade a bar and or pub and make them put the game on.

Haha definitely. I live up here and always pull out that card. They open up so much more to you about how shyty their team is if they think you're an Oiler fan. And you can pretty much get away with saying anything and they won't think anything of it because they think you're just venting about your team. The best is when you say something like "Too bad we can't be more like the Flames, just look at how well they're run". Good times.
As per the OP, Crazyhorse.
