Midway through the first, the Canes lead the Hitmen 1-0 tonight on a shorthanded goal. The shot came from a fair way out on Jones.

Central division is pretty weak after the Hitmen.

US Division is looking good this season.

Giants will easily coast through the BC division.

One has to wonder what the Hitmen could have done if they weren't playing exhausted.

As it was, we can thank the Ice for their litany of dumb penalties. All three PPGs were scored on power plays created by selfish acts well after the whistle.

Also, what's up with only having Bud on tap at Prospera Centre. They had way better beer last year...

After their "effort" in Lethbridge on Tuesday I can't imagine they were overly tired on Wednesday afternoon.

Heh, I figured you'd be there with that. At least we've established that the Hurricanes are marginally better than a Hitmen team that half-asses it.

Even so, someone in the Hitmen office needs to explain why he would schedule a 2:00 start right after a 7:00 road game.

Pretty good game in Moose Jaw tonight. The Hitmen got 2 goals from Michael Stone including the OT winner, the Warriors tied the game in the final minute to force OT.

2-1 Hitmen win. They are in Brandon on Friday night, the Hitmen also changed Sunday's game time, I believe it is a 6 pm start time now. They didn't want to have conflict with the Stamps game.

Just a heads up. Todays Hitmen game in Brandon is on Shaw Channel tonight. Game time is 6:30 PM.

Kyle Beach with yet another dirty hit... Apparently he thinks checking an opponent below the knees is ok.

And, of course, the Hitmen go and give the piece of crap an easy goal right after he gets out of th box via terrible D.

Hitmen gave up 2 goals in 34 seconds last night in the 3rd period and lost 3-2 to the Chiefs.

Today, the Hitmen picked up 20 year old defenceman Giffen Nyren from the Blazers for a conditional 6th round pick. Apparently he is a decent puck mover but might be a liability in his own zone. Nevertheless, the Hitmen needed another veteran defenceman.
