If anyone is interested, I have a pretty nicely shot amateur vid of a live TCV show. I applied image stablization in iMovie, and exported it to an iPod Touch sized video, and the results are pretty good. I can post a link if people want.
yeah man!

AC, echo your mike patton sentiments.

The rocking I have seen seems fairly generic.

HOLY CROW BIG NEWS TEAM:

All studio versions of songs have been officially leaked onto youtube. Really debating whether I should listen to the whole album now or wait.

I'll listen to a song or two but I like think I'll wait until it actually comes out to listen in its entirety. Pretty tough to resist though, I'm SOOOOO stoked for this album and all the members of this band are heroes and influences of mine.

Here are the youtube tracks that I ripped to AAC format for your iPod pleasure:

Quality is not 100%, but still very listenable with headphones. Time to sync up and take the dog for a walk...

Hope you enjoy...

I haven't even gotten to that song, but I love No One Loves Me and Neither Do I. Wow what a rock song. The lyrics are awesome. Also has an awesome unexpected heavy turn midway through.

Josh Homme is my favourite current frontman. He seems like one of the few true rockstars around nowadays with these newish bands.

Yea Josh Homme is one of, if not the best frontman around nowadays. No One Loves Me and Neither Do I keeps getting better every time I listen to it. My top songs right now are No One Loves Me and Neither Do I, Dead End Friends, Reptiles and Bandoilers. Such a good album.

Album is in stores today... gets my vote for album of the year (actually gets my vote for best album in probably the last 10 years).

I waited to listen to this until my pre-order was filled on iTunes. It's really awesome!! Some of the songs remind me of some of the bands that these guys are known for, but they are also a distinct departure. It's a great album though and I hope they put out more!

I finally listened to the whole album and was not disappointed. A really solid rock album with so many overlapping riffs. I love the rock blues sound and it's great to hear Grohl on the drums again. Awesome album.

Agreed. Grohl's drum sound is amazing. Lyrically the album is great, melodically the first half of it is awesome too. There's a couple songs on the back half that I am not crazy about...but this is the best album I have purchased in a long time.

Does anyone listen to the Smalls? There were a couple times that I was reminded of that band while listening to this.

My wife thinks the album has strong hints of Talking Heads...thoughts?

Can't believe I forgot to post this. Here's a high quality (professional) video of their show at the BBC Reading. These guys are unbelievable...

Man, how beat up is that Telecaster Homme is using.

Also, how would you feel to be the back-up guitarist? Who is that guy? I guess you get to play with three legends, but I'd still feel kinda weird.

I'd take his job any day of the week.

But yea, he is kind of under appreciated. They hardly even get a camera on him in that vid where he's busting out the solo at the end.

PS It's Alain Johannes, he used to play with Josh in QOTSA

Wow? Really?

It wasn't bad, but not the best album in 10 years, that's for sure.

I like the Dead Weather album more than Them Crooked Vultures.
