I'm about 3 hours into it as a Daelish Elf, was just saved by the old women from the tower. This game is pretty epic so far with the battles. I love how bloody everything is. This game is probably bloodier than Gears of War 2!

Fireball is made entirely of win btw. In fact, it needs to be changed to Winball.

Has anyone beat the game yet? Just wondering how long the story is to complete. I heard like 80+ hours to beat everything in the game for one playthrough.

Beat my first playthrough this morning at about 1:30 am.
Total playtime: 60 hours and a few seconds.
What an awesome game! Can't wait to play it again in 2010. Sadly I won't be playing it much more before end of year thanks to Modern Warfare 2's release tomorrow, along with Left 4 Dead 2, Assassin's Creed 2 on the horizon, and Star Wars: Force Unleashed: Sith edition likely arriving in the mail today.

I've played through 3 of the Origins now. My first was a Noble Dwarf Warrior. I made some poor talent choices right off the bat and stopped at about level 7. My next was an Elf Mage. I got this guy to about level 9 or 10 and again stopped due to poor talent selections.
I'm on my 3rd now, a Human Noble Warrior. This time I went Dual Wield and am having alot more fun. I went to the Magi Circle first and took Wynne and my dedicated healer, along with Allister as my tank and Shale as my other dps and am cruising through now. At level 12 and just starting the elf place. I think my next one will be a Human Rogue Archer build just for fun.

What do people suggest for Daelish Elf? I am a dual wielder and put my skills into those ones instead of shield or 2 hand. I will stick with dual wielding for this playthrough but what is stronger?

I have a daelish elf rouge and I am enjoying it so far. I am not far it but putting poisons on dual weapons is nice, especially the one that stuns. Between that and dirty fighting you can stunlock for quite a while.
a what?
a WHile.

Yep, Steam is awesome.
I like how the dwarf noble origin alludes to the dwarf commoner origin. Haven't done the Grey Warden joining on either character yet, but it would be appropriate if both dwarves were amongst the recruits in the blood drinking scene.

No, not unless they added one recently. The only "Demo" was the character generator.

Actually, the character generator will tell you if you can at least try. I know I ran it on a laptop and is wouldn't start. On my main rig I have lots of power so no issues.

It's a pretty dated engine, chances are good it will run on older or less-powerful machines. What are your specs?

Actually, it isn't dated at all. It is a new engine that is multicore aware. It hasn't been used in any other products yet.
Edit: It is an "optimization" of the NWN Eclipse engine, to make it multi-core enabled as well as many other optimizations.

Video card meets the minimum specs, while everything else meets the recommended.
