I've tried a number of different FM Transmitters from Future Shop and most have sucked. Too much static when I play it in my car (I think I may have an electrical problem in my car giving off too much interference, but that's besides the point).

I just got a Belkin TuneCastII FM Transmitter (mine is black/grey instead of white) and it works great! I love the cigarette lighter plug-in, as it seemed to provide more power than the batteries. Another great feature is how this one has a much larger FM range to transmit on as well.

I'd definitely recommend it. Give it a try, and it if you don't like it then return it. FS hasn't given me any problems when I've done that in the past.

IF you're looking to send a signal from your portable device to your car stereo, the best option is to get a car deck with an AUX input on the front. A simple way to do that is go to Best Buy and get an AIWA deck. They'll range from $100 to $200 depending upon the options.

It's a lot better then any FM transmitter will ever be.

Yeah but I ahve a nice CD palyer in there already and don't want to start fudging around with installs, new decks etc.. If I were going to do that I'd just get a new CD player and changer that played MP3 formats.

I second this.
I got my Awia (made by Sony) deck from A&B for about $120. Great deck, cheep and no loss of sound quality like FM transmitters.

I think most FM transmitters really suck, but if u're hell bent on going with 1, the belkin is the best.

Is your car stereo pre-wired for XM or a CD changer? If it is I have the solution for you that is way better than any of them cheapo FM things. Check your deck first and tell me whether its factory or brandname.

It's a 6 disc compatable panasonic,

definitly not XM though, which is something I was thinking about.
