This is my situation too. I want the iphone, but all of my friends have Blackberry's. And because I'm in the states all of the time, I can add a roaming data plan with bell for $15 and I can still communicate with them using BBM. There isn't roaming for texting, and roaming for talk is a min $40. I'm thinking that BBM is eventually going to win out in my decision.

EDIT: Just called Telus, and I guess they don't charge roaming for texting like Rogers and Bell does.

Haven't tried the iPhone as I'm on telus but of love my BB storm, had it for a year now and the battery life is still amazing and it's very easy to use. Not sure if it's the software in the phone or what but camping this summer in BC I was the only to get a signal at our site out of 6 phones (no iPhone)

I love it and plan to keep it for a long time.

I doubt that has anything to do with the actual phone.

So why did the 4 other telus network phones not get a signal good enough to call out? Lucky for me I have a plan that has free long distance...because EVERYONE used my phone that weekend.

Nokia Sirocco 8100... I dropped this thing so many times it's not even funny and still works like a charm... (titanium plate ftw). If you want the official James Bond phone, get this sexy thang and the girls will be dropping their booties.
