Default Townsend Tigers defeat the Flames again....

For the 15 year in a row, the Alberta Childrens Hosptal Townsend Tigers, defeated the Calgary Flames 7-2. (due to the H1N1, no Flames were physically in attendance this year..... ). It was a combination of teachers, doctors, and nurses that took the loss this year.

What a great day!!!

This is ridiculous. I thought we brought in Jokinen and Bouwmeester for a reason - its time to rebuild IMO.

Are you serious there wasn't one single Flames player there because of a flu going around?

It wasn't their choice, the Hospital has postponed due to media, audience, parents, siblings, etc... The kids ALL had a great time whooping us though.......

Fair enough. So will the players still play the kids later in the year?

This sucks. I had a great joke in place for this years game, and the players dont actually play the kids.

Honestly, I don't understand. Didn't we have a thread a while back about how many 6 year olds you could fight at one time? These are professional hockey players in extreme shape (well, not this year) they should be able to seriously mangle these kids.

I think some of us are going to have to revise our estimates about taking on 20 kids.

Was meant to be a sarcastic comment, but I think you knew that judging by your answer. Seems like it would be an awesome event to be a part of. The Flames truly are a first-class organization.

Is there a link with photos from the event?

Edit: Found a link recapping the game from 2007. http://flames.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=453945 It said that was their 26th consecutive win, making this year the 28th consecutive win.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

This speaks to the obvious leadership issues on this team. No way should Phaneuf be wearing an "A."
