Ari Shaffir was suprisingly good, was expecting a borat style shock comic, but he was very self deprecating.
Yeah, he was almost self-deprecating to a point of annoyance, but I was still pretty impressed with his act. The watching porn and money shot bits were hilarious.
He really needed to stop acknowledging that heckler though. After the second time he told him to shut up, he should have just had him removed.

I really want to watch the Riders game but it is on from 5-8 but I don't want to show up at like 830 and have him be half done his set. (assuming Louis starts at 8pm in Edmonton like he is in Calgary)

No opening act, he said at the start that's not the way he rolls. He was scheduled to start at 7:30 but didn't come out until 7:45. Pretty long act, he was done about 9:15. Impressive, considering its 100% new material. The only thing that sucked was he added a 2nd show(we saw the first one), which meant no chance to get to meet him afterwards. I brought my camera in the hope of getting a pic with me and that fat, bald SOB.
The material's awesome! Not Shameless awesome, or possibly even Chewed Up, but I definitely laughed through 80% of it. My face actually feels a little sore today from grinning. It's pretty impressive he can stay that funny while coming up with 100% new material every year. He took the point of ripping on Edmonton at the start which was gold, haha I was laughing so hard. "I never really had a desire to come here before, I'm pretty much just here for the money. If a fireball took down this whole city, I'm not even sure if it'd make the news" hahaha.
