Being paralyzed. I love riding a motorcycle, but every few years a story about a crash scares me into selling my bike. Then I work up the nerve, buy another bike, ride for a while and repeat.

Also, snakes and eels freak me out.

That's gotta be the worst way of dying. I can't think of anything worse....if the pain of putting a little finger on a hot stove is unbearable, imagine it happening across your entire body. The only saving grace is usually the smoke will put you out first.
