Default Bell vs Rogers

I think this is more for our Eastern posters as Rogers isnt out west yet? Dunno.

Anyways...I have just about had it with Bell Canada and all of its subsidiarys. I checked out pricing from Rogers and like what Im hearing but have some niggling doubt about its home phone service(s). I hear Cell coverage is fine and Internet speeds are good as well, so not as concerned with those services.
Anyone here have any experience with Rogers Home phone, bad or good, and want to share stories?
Is there service outages? Is the VoiP service echoey? If internet goes down do I lose home phone? Service deprtment issues? yada yada

Here in Calgary we have Shaw which is similar and I haven't had any major problems. When my Shaw internet goes down my phone has still been up. I have had a few normal modem problems (like static building up in the line) and I have had to disconnect the cable connection to the modem, touch it against something metal and then hooking it back up. I think that has been the solution to any phone problems I have had.
