Default The Harvey's in Westhills?

What happened to it? It's closed and seems to be under construction.

Believe it or not, they are expanding the Swiss Chalet.

From what I understand, it's closed and is currently being renovated into an expanded Swiss Chalet.

I just ate their last weekend. Swiss Chalet is a very consistent 7/10 in my books for food, which isn't bad given their prices. The ambiance is a 1/10 so hopefully this helps that.

The city is implementing its plan to exterminate all Harvey's within 10 years.

^^my "their" typo is driving me nuts but I can't edit posts from my phone.

BTW, Harvey's is nasty. They should exterminate them in 10 minutes.

That restaurant has possibly the worst drive through service I've ever experienced. We spent close to 1/2 hr in the lineup once. There should be a law against that.

Possibly the worst Harvey's in the world. The customer service in there is absolutely brutal. It has been consistently awful for many years. Very slow, and under-staffed. We keep caving in and going back because it is close, hoping that they'll pull it together. No dice. It's too bad because I really do like Harvey's...

Your not far from the truth except I heard Harvey's want to slowly close all the restaurants and go strictly with the mini's ( home depot's..etc)

They recently closed the Harveys inside the Home Depot on Country Hills.

I like Harveys.

That's terrible news. I like Harvey's and make a point of going there whenever I'm in Calgary. They just opened a Swiss Chalet in Lethbridge last year and I was hoping it would be a joint restaurant with Harvey's, but no dice. The Home Depot here doesn't even have one - or a Second Cup for that matter.

The owners of Harveys are having financial difficulties and thus they are closing many Montana's restaurants and quite a number of Harvey's. Which is bad news for me. I mean, if I'm out with the guys and they say "let's go for burgers", as a vegetarian I always say "okay, let's go to Harvey's". Though I have heard rumours of Burger King having veggie burgers as well.... But I really like the Harvey's one. Don't mess with success.

The thing I love about Swiss Chalet is that if I'm ever feeling old, I know I can go there and I'll be the youngest person in the place by about 20 years.

I did that once. I was on my way to an evening seminar and as I got to the bus stop, my bus was pulling away. Fifteen minutes to the next one, so I decided to get a veggie burger at A&W. Twenty minutes later I get my burger. I asked if it was normal to wait that long for fast food. He told me that the patties were still frozen... so few people go to A&W for a veggieburger that they don't keep ANY out of the freezer. So first he had to go digging in the freezer to actually FIND them, then he put it on DEFROST in the microwave and THEN put it on the grill. So not only was the burger more expensive than Harvey's, it didn't taste nearly as good and the wait time was much longer. So even though A&W is a 2 minute walk away and Harvey's is a 10 minute bus ride, I go to Harvey's.

My one complaint about Harvey's is that they won't make me a swiss mushroom melt with a veggie patty. If it's not on the cash register, they don't know how to punch it in.
