Dude when I lived in iowa city those are some hard core fans. They thought the outback bowl years they could take on anyone at anytime. Those fans I could never figure out if they were just stupid or confidant.
Although the 50mph winds were horrible I cant believe they would play like that.

Is there anything worse than the CBS announcers during a Florida game?
Danielson can be good for the most part but put Florida in the game and he becomes god awful.

Finally, a dominating performance from the Grizzlies as Montana destroys Weber State in Missoula 31-10. 506 yards of total offense, 241 of it on the ground courtesy of Chase Reynolds.
The Griz move to 8-0 and a date with soon to be 0-9 Idaho State next Saturday in Pocatello!
Go GRIZ!!

I caught this score on espn.com out of the corner of my eye in one of those constantly changing frames and went to the college basketball section to see how in the heck there were already D-1 vs D-1 basketball games going on? Then I thought, Western Kentucky would absolutely destroy North Texas in roundball most seasons and realized it was football.
Watching the OU/K State game....after being down 21-0 K-State has made a game of it and trail 35-30 with 10 minutes to go. OU is getting some offensive rhythm though....
That said, KSU is going to win the North. I don't see how they can't. There isn't a team in the North that is going to make up two games on them. Nebraska has two losses on their schedule before the play KSU in Lincoln IMO. K-State certainly isn't a great team, but Bill Snyder deserves a TON of credit for what he has accomplished in a very, very short time in Manhattan.

Looks like USC is going to throw up two duds this year to PAC 10 teams.
They are playing terribly tonight.

Wow did USC take it on the chin.
Full credit to the Ducks...they look unbeatable right now.
That is the first time in 7 years that SC has lost by more than a TD. Worst beat in Pete carroll's tenure and the most yds put on SC in 63 years.
Thump!!

Awesome result for the Ducks. The rushing numbers that they rolled up were just incredible. They've now outscored PAC10 opponents 208-58 in five games.
Too bad for them that all of the teams they're chasing had good games too. They'll move up, but probably not a lot. Two tough road games left: Stanford and Arizona.

Well, Texas beating the crap out of #14 Oklahoma St. on the road plays a major role in that.
After last week where Texas stomped another ranked team in Mizzu on the road and Bama needed a last second FG block to survive an average Tennessee team at home the two teams were basically neck-and-neck for #2. It's pretty easy to see why Texas jumped them during the bye.
I'd say Texas is the best team in the country right now.

I guess it's my job to keep this thread afloat?
Important games of note this week:
Iowa vs. Northwestern - I just think Iowa's play will catch up to them eventually and they will lose a close one. Maybe not here but it is possible. Northwestern 28 - Iowa 24
Notre Dame vs. Navy - Navy's pretty good and I just would love to see the Irish lose this one. Notre Dame 17 - Navy 10
Oregon vs. Stanford - Ducks go into Stanford where the Cardinal is undefeated. Ducks Roll. Oregon 42 - Stanford 27
Penn St. vs. Ohio St. - I hate both these teams. Buckeyes 31 - Penn St. 14
And the big one Tide vs. Tigers - I have a good feeling about this one. Tigers 22 - Tide 20

I like the way you think Sowa! Geaux Tigers!
They still control their own destiny in the SEC/BCS Championship picture.

I could see Oregon getting upset today. Stanford is too good to be considered a trap game and that's not a good thing for the Ducks. I think Oregon will still win, but it wouldn't shock me in the least to see them fall today.
