See that's where your wrong. I would make that comment in person if HOWIE_16 was with me. 6'1" 220 WWWOOOOOWWW! Why the reference of size???? Is 6'1" 220 a really strong tough size?

Has nothing to do with that. And I am not throwing it out there as a representation of physical ability, or anything. Here let me rephrase.
I am a healthy 35 year old male that excercises regularly, eats well, and takes good care of myself. I am not a frail person, and besides mild asthma in genrally good health. And the shot gave me problems.
If you are taking anything else out of it, you are twisting what I am saying.

I can't believe how personal you're taking it Pylon. It obviously was a joke. I'm sure you're the world's scariest and strongest person, but that was a totally unnecessary comment. You've been on CP long enough to know that there will be smartass comments like that all the time. But thanks for telling us how it felt... I'm still on the fence myself about waiting the 4-5 hours to get it.

For the record. I am not trying to insinuate I am the worlds toughest and scariest human being. Far from such. But I also don't sit back and let people sling ignorant insults at me without stepping up, be it in person, or in a chat forum. All I know is that a lot of people talk a huge game online, but in person would never say something so dumb to a persons face. If you would... well you are an ignorant moron.
I can understand the backhanded comments in certain threads, it all part of the fun, but I don't find a lot of humor in this particular one, as this POS virus has seriously affected a few people close to me, one potentially fataly, but hopefully not. I do understand I have pulled a ######y move, but that goes both ways.
On that note, back on topic.

Well I hope you have the same attitude for people that aren't getting the shot at all.

My sister in law and niece where diagnosed with h1n1 and were in the hospital last night. My wife and I had to call an ambulance for her because she said she could barely breath. The operator told us not to go there. if we didn't call the doctors said she might not be here today, she needed a respirator. She is high risk because she is pregnant.
This prompted me to get it today because I am high risk with asthma even though I've never had an outbreak and don't take daily medication, I do get the ocassional weasing syndrome in the morning however.
They are now both home from the hospital but are quarantineed for 10 days and aren't allowed to leave there house. Her fiance who has no vaccine and doesn't show any systems is quarantineed for 4 days in case they start to show. The doctor however thinks he is lucky and it looks like h1n1 has minimal effect on him. Apparently most people get hit with the swine flu 24-48 hours after contact, my family is quite lucky because my wife, myself and my son saw them all on Wedneday.
To some this will hit home hard and be scary, to most it won't. I don't wish anyone what we just went through. I do hope this virus dies off and eventually dissapears with time and doesn't become a regular occurence like the seasonal flu.

I don't know what to think anymore. I am starting to get worried about this whole thing.

Don't get panicked well over 99.99% of the people will survive. 2/3rds of well underthe 0.01% of the people that die will have existing underlying conditions.
They say 400 albertans could die if 875,000 people get sick. Thats a very small amount and that there should be no reason for panicking. You technically have a better chance of dieing in a traffic accident.
The biggest thing is that some people are reporting a hellish 30 hours when they get sick, while others are experiencing relativaly mild symptoms. I wish we knew why. Perhaps someday someone will figure it out.

On a side note with the whole side effects.
My wife and son had the shot on Thursday, my wife experienced chills, iirritability(common trate in all women ), and fevers. She slept them off. She go so upset at them she said why did I get the stupid shot, thats only out of frustration but now she is happy she got it.
My 9month old son, has shown zero side effects. Maybe irritability but what 9 month old isn't
I will update in 2 days on how my symptoms went since I just got the shot today.

Don't be worried about it. Your chances of getting sick are small and the chances you die are even smaller. I thought I heard somewhere that if you take out the people that were already sick or had health problems it is less than a .25% of a chance of dying. Is that true? I have no idea but just something I heard on the news.

Wish them both good wishes from all of us..... My wife was also diagnosed with H1N1, but she had the shot, she also was given Tamiflu. She is on bed rest, coughing and feel horrible but seems to be riding the wave fine.......

You should be directing your outrage at the federal and provincial govts for telling everyone in the beginning that they should get thier shot immediately. Then when they flip flop on thier position I'm labeled an alarmist yahoo by you

I've always wondered if someone who got the shot and 4 days later caught the swine flu would they tend to develop more mild symptoms.
