Hey I didn't grow up here so I have nothing to be proud about. As far as I can tell its not as bad as the books say it is. we have running water, Plumbing, and african americans can eat in every resturaunt and even sit on the front of the bus.

But really it's a nice area. University is a nice campus and lots of history down here with the civil rights movement and civil war, to the tusgegee (sp) airmen.

I didn't know what to expect when I was moving here but its better than I thought it was going to be.

I am however going through hockey withdraws though.

I was just kidding, if I could get a US work visa I could - sadly after 2 attempts of trying to work in Hawaii and 2 denials I have to stay up in winter wonderland.

Sunny and a beautiful 20C here right now.

Maybe the most brilliant fall weather in my decade living here as well, the leaves are just mind-blowingly beautiful the last couple of days.

Like this everywhere right now...

Gotta love Calgary. One day it's +29 and the trees are still green, the next morning you wake up and it's Indian summer for a week, and then it's winter.

I have to admit, skipping an entire season certainly does improve efficiency.

Am I the only one that finds no beauty in fall? To me it's incredibly depressing.
